What store and where is the closest grocery store to the DLH?

Also does anyone know of a chinese restaurant that will deliver to the resort area on Christmas?
When we lived in So Cal we used to always order chinese in on Christmas night since our family dinner was at noon. Where we live now the closest Chinese restaurant is 3 1/2 hours away so that tradition died but since we will be there on Christmas having spent most of our holiday traveling would like to revive this instead of going out to eat after traveling since 5am that morning.

Thanks in advance for any tips or advice.

7 days 7 hours and 36 minutes to go

We've never eaten there, but we've seen flyers for Ten Ten Seafood at the DLH. As for Christmas day deliveries, I don't know. I'm seeing images of The Christmas Story here... and they do have duck on the menu... hmm... :rolleyes1

We do love that movie it is my DH favorite and a part of the chinese at Christmas Thanks for the info ;)

Please trust me on this, because many people will say what store is clostest because they prefer some names. It depend of course on where you stay. But closest to DLR is a food4less it is near Katella and Euclid. Across Euclid from it is a Super Kamart. From DLR is is about twice as close from the next option. But if you stay beyond a walk for DLR then you should consider something up or down Euclid.

3.5 hours, you aren't thinking of the Chinese place in Rapid City, SD are you? Anyway it was good and I though really hot, and I for one like spicy foods. In Anahiem consider Panda Express near the corner of Harbor and Katella it doesn't deliver though but may be close to you hotel. If you want something nicer there is a PFChangs in garden walk. If you really need deliver consider what Jlamrr said or ask at the front desk.

I like your Ralphy "You'll shoot your eye out" tradition. Enjoy the duck!

There is a Food Katella and S Euclid St,

Super Walmart south off of I5 next door is

Happy Dragon
516 N Euclid St
(714) 772-9733

Never used any but hope that helps.

I would suggest downloading Google Earth it is a great tool for finding all kinds of stuff.

We are spending our first night at the Quality Inn Parkside before moving to the DLH on Sunday for the remainder of our stay. To clarify close we will prob walk to grocery store then take ART or a cab back to the hotel with the loot. Just can't see paying Airline baggage fees to put munchies & drinks for our hotel room in our luggage. So I am not brand conscious for this trip just want close for the grocery store.

Nope but we have eaten there yep spicy but good. We can get Chinese in both Billings 3.5 hours south and Great Falls 3.5 west of us. Yes we live dead center in the middle of nowhere the closest Wal Mart is 1.5 hours away LOL

Checked out the menu online and looks wonderful will call them in the AM to see if they are open on Christmas.

Sadly they don't have an online menu or any reviews I could find but will call them 2morrow and see if they will be operating on Christmas Thanks for the info.

Also like hearing first hand accounts I can't get from a map site but I do have mapping on my cell phone so once decisions are made I can get around OK

If you need food at DLH go to the Food 4 Less I mentioned. You will really want a cab to there it's close but not carrying a case of water close. If you want food at the Quality inn, south and to the left is a Vons on Chapman. Still you could walk but may want a cab.

If you only need a few simple things there is a 7eleven convience store on the corner of Harbor and Katella.

You can also get delivery from Vons.

Both good options..like both for different reasons LOL looked up the numbers and will call for their hours in the AM Thanks!

Thanks also for your grocery store advice. Either one of those will work for us

www.vons.com delivers, I think they have a $50 minimum and a delivery fee, but sometimes it's waived for a first order.
I believe www.safeway.com delivers also.

There are many grocery stores in the area. You can look on the stores' website map to see which one may work for you while you're at either hotel.

www.ralphs.com
www.vons.com
www.food4less.com

There is also Costco, and a Henry's Farmer's Market in the area.
But if you're just looking for snacks, a 7-11 or convenience store may be closer. Most hotels have snacks in their onsite stores. Not always fresh fruit though.

I hear you on first hand accounts.

Google Earth is a mapping program with layers. You can see hotels, resturants, bars, hospitals, etc. You can pick and choose which you want displayed on the map. We put in the address of our hotel(s) and then "drive" around and see whats around.

Will have to go check this out________________

Well we have reservations for Christmas Dinner At Ten Ten Seafood at 6pm. Yep we were going to get delivery chinese but the menu and reviews I found for this place were so good we couldn't resist so we are going out to Christmas dinner after all just doing it early as we will likely be tired hope we don't fall asleep on the duck LOL

Also will likely do Food 4 Less or Kmart for the groceries as both will carry the multi packs of the items we need.

Thanks for all the input everyone.

:laundy: Now back to the laundry

Thank you so much for posting this info.
We will be there also during Christmas and I've been wracking my brain trying to find a place that will deliver chinese on that day.
Now I can tell my parents where we could order from :thumbsup2

Have a wonderful trip!
Maybe we'll brush by you at the parks

Hope to see you there..Do you have a LGMH? Also if you are still there on the 27th we are having a DIS meet at the Mark Twain at noon to ride the ROA and visit for a few minutes while we ride. Hope you will still be there. Enjoy your trip.

Oh how fun! I didn't know that...
I wasn't planning on LGMH tags but now that you mentioned it I might try to swing by HD before we leave and see if I could get some.

There'll be 13 of us traveling this time around, so not sure if I'll be able to seperate from the group to meet you guys. But I'll definitely try.

You enjoy your trip as well! Hopefully we can survive the holiday crowd
