DH and I are taking a Carnival cruise next month. We're staying at WDW for one night beforehand, and then will be driving from WDW to the port and dropping off our rental car. Carnival will allow us to bring soda onboard, which I'd like to do to save money, but wondering if you guys can help. Are there any grocery stores along the way from WDW to Port Canaveral where we wouldn't have to travel far from the highway? We won't have MUCH time, since we're eating breakfast at O'hana and then need to drive, drop off the car, and board the ship, but I'd love to have some cherry coke in my bag when I board!

There is a Super Wal Mart on the way that is pretty close to the highway. If someone does not answer here, you might ask on the cruise board here as I have seen exact specific directions there.

From the Poly head South on World Drive to the Osceola Parkway. Get off at the SR-535 Exit (which is the first toll, 75¢ cash needed), turn left at the Stop Sign, go under the Parkway and into the Walmart lot.

When you leave the WalMart continue North on 535 to I-4 East to Exit 71, which is the Beach Line.

Alternative idea: when you get to port canaveral there is a gas station (don't remember name) that had soda. It was around budget rac. It was where we gassed up before dropping off rental car.

Yep, we went to the Super Walmart to pick up a few things before our cruise. We ordered Garden Grocer for our hotel. There is a FAQ at the top of the CruiseBoard thread that shows different shops on the way to port.

There is a Publix that is behind the Premium Outlets just past where Dixie Stampede was. I always stop there...easy to get to.
