We're staying at the BWV in July and don't really want to spend time grocery shopping when we get ther on the 3rd. The DVC list of groceries available is sparse at best. Does anyone know where we can either get groceries delivered to our hotel from a local supermarket (Netgrocer is kind of expensive - $8 for a 12 pack of Coke!) or a supermarket that will shop for us allowing us to simply pick the groceries up?

Thanks for the help!

The wegoshop site seems to be pretty good--although I haven't tried it yet. Their fee isn't bad.

Also, the Hess stations on site have convenience stores attached. Not exactly supermarket prices, but lower than WDW prices. Limited grocery availability, but a possibility for beverages and snacks. :)

Have you considered shopping at home and having it shipped to your resort. We did this once. Most of the items shipped I had gotten almost free with coupons. :cool1: :cool1: So, I didn't mind paying the shipping.

2 weeks ago we used WEGOSHOP and were very pleased with the service. I ended up needing a few additional items and placed a second order 3 days into our vacation. Becca was our shopper and she did a great job.

The Hess Filling station had basic supplies (bread, milk, canned drinks, etc.) for a reasnable price when we went in May. It is a very short walk from the Boardwalk.

I would like to do this on our next trip. What information did you include on the box, besides the obvious name & address? Did you need your room confirmation #? Did you put your name along on it too? Did you have any problems with it arriving late/early?

Thanks :wizard:

How about GOODINGS delivery? Has anyone every used it?

Will you have a car? I am a fellower DVCer and always use Albertson. They shop for you based on your faxed in order. You can get anything available in the supermarket (regular groceries, plus alchohl, fresh sliced deli, bakery, produce, etc.)

When you arrive that pull out your cart, open a register just for you and ring up your order.

With the detour of getting off the highway, parking, going inside etc. I would say our stop is a max of 30 minutes and saves us hundreds

Good luck

We went with another family in May, we each used wegoshop and were THRILLED. They picked up just what we wanted, delivered it at the time we chose, and were friendly and VERY reasonably priced. We will definitely use them on future trips. It was absolutely wonderful to not have to shop! :Pinkbounc

"Wegoshop" will be closed when I am in WDW, so that' s why I want to do Goodings delivery. I do not want to shop on vacation (I do enough of that at home). Has anyone tried Goodings delivery?

I've used Gooding's delivery & just found it to be overpriced, IMO. I can't remember the exact charges but I didn't like the choices they made for produce items (asked for green seedless grapes, they didn't have any so they gave us about 3 pounds of black seeded grapes instead--we only wanted 1- 1/2 pounds of the green) , etc....

I had heard about Albertson's and will be using them for our next trip in Jan or wegoshop.

GL!

We do this every trip, we ship down food (except milk) and a couple other things. Last year I threw in our Halloween costumes and extra sunscreen. I put the hotel address, as well as our name, confirmation number and our arrival date. It works great, we will be doing it again in October.
