Grizzly River Run Refurb

I know. But for me, personally, Fantasyland is my favorite part of Disneyland. I thought the rides and atmosphere there were just absolutely incredible. Gave me a Disney feeling I haven't had at the Magic Kingdom in a long time. So Snow White being down was a bummer. Then we find out King Arthur's Carousel will be down. Ride it or not, that ride is the heartbeat of the land. Then you find out Haunted Mansion may be down. Then Indiana Jones which we don't have in Florida. The Mark Twain is no big deal. And though it should be open, for Grizzly to have an eta of TBD, that's a lot of good stuff.
It is a lot of good stuff... and a lot of good reasons to plan another trip in the future (maybe in the summer when almost everything is usually up and running?). You weren't expecting to plan a second trip, especially the way your anxieties were taking over before your first visit. Now here you are planning to return. Enjoy this second trip with your family and make a deliberate effort to focus on the positive things. Make great memories. Then see whether a third trip might happen... you never know where the magic will take you!

Where is everyone seeing the official refurbishment schedule (meaning announced by Disney)? April schedule isn't even posted yet on Disneyland's website.
There are some info sites that report the closures. The main Disney blog and calendar should also show, but they are slow at updating. I think the blogs don't update until the calendar does? I could be wrong though. Sometimes people will also find the work permits filed for the rides which indicates it will go down.

There's no way to be certain, but it is highly likely that most things will be open at that time due to spring break. The small park simply cannot hold as many guests when more rides are down. The crowds through the rest of the park become insane. Hopefully, I am not wrong, but I don't believe all those rides will be down during spring break and dapper days.

That's my other fear. Snow White isn't a big concern, but to have it and the Carousel down means more stress on Peter Pan, Pinocchio, Mr. Toad, etc. With Haunted Mansion and Indy down, it puts a lot more stress on Pirates and Jungle Cruise, etc.

2018. It was our 1st trip. Pixar Pier was closed on our 1st trip, so that's definitely something we're looking forward to.

I think you are going to fall in love with DCA. It is a fantastic park. I truly believe all you experience there will overshadow any feelings of disappointment by what is closed down for refurb.

Good luck and have fun!

I get being disappointed in things being down. Never mind out of state... we are coming from out of country, and haven't been since 2008. Will it be disappointing to have such things down? Of course. (We are also going to be there spring break/dapper day.) But we can't afford to cancel, and there will be so much to do still...

We are just going to hope for the best... like really hoping things open by then.

We wouldn't cancel and lose the money, but if you're going to be upset or bothered by the disappointments, then changing plans now may be better than later.
