Gripe about Disney T's

I want to gripe about the T-shirts that Disney sells at the parks. We went last fall for our first trip and again this past May. Both times, the T-shirts we bought faded out rather badly, usually after one washing. After a few washings, they are just nasty looking. The kids shirts do seem to hold up better. Anyone else have this problem? Or am I just buying the wrong shirts? They are NOT cheap and I just feel they should be of a better quality. Thanks for listening to my gripe!!!

I've found the quality of clothing we've purchased at Disneyworld to vary quite a bit.
Some items can take quite a bit wear and tear (am wearing a tshirt right now that I bought there 7 years ago...it's almost like new!)......and other items disintigrate after a few washings.

I'm clueless as to how to tell the difference in quality BEFORE I buy.

Sorry that happens to you too. LOL

YES!!!! Ours are fading terribly too. And I always wash them in cold water on the gentle cycle.

DH got a nice Rock n Roller Coaster T-shirt that he hardly ever wears because he's afraid it's going to fade and look crappy.

Thanks for letting me know I am not alone! I even washed them in cold water with Woolite. Disney needs to do better!!

I haven't had a problem with fading, but they sure shrink a lot, which is why I buy a size or two bigger.

Wow, I'm surprised. I always thought the quality was great. I have a sweatshirt that was brought a long time ago and is in great shape. t's shirts too. I guess everything disney is going down the tubes. Blame it on Eisner.

Ive found that quality vaieis too.
I have a sweatshirt that I bought in 1995 and its still in perfect condition. I also bought a sweatshirt in 2000 and within a year it was covered in little fuzz balls. I always washed both the same way and hung to dry.

The 'older' shirts do hold up much better than the newer ones. I have a black ToT t-shirt that is not only faded but is getting little holes around the neckline. :earseek: I normally try to buy light colored shirts..........no fading!!

Back in 1994, I bought my son a white WDW t-shirt when he got soaked at the park one day. In 1997, his sister wore this same shirt.....In 2000, his youngest sister wore it again! It still looks almost new! It's become one of those items of clothing from your kids childhood that becomes a "keeper"! :sunny:

on our last visit my DW and I bought several T's. They have all held up well except for the Indiana Jones T I bought for myself.
