My DH can't do intense roller coasters due to a spinal condition to so I always have to use other rides as comparisons to see what he can do. I know the Gringotts ride mechanisms is similar to the Mummy - is it as fast and twisty? He cannot ride the Mummy.

Things like Spiderman, Transformers, Forbidden Journey are all fine for him. Obviously no Hulk, Dragon Challenge or Rip Ride Rockit. For Disney comparision, he does Big Thunder and Everest but not Space Mountain or Rock and Roller Coaster.

Normally I test new rides out first and vet them for him but I'm afraid the lines might be too long to want to do that ride twice. We're going next week (Wed-Fri). Any feedback on what wait times have been like lately?

Thanks in advance!

To me, gringott's is neither like mummy or transformers. In theory maybe, but to ME, after the first "drop" it is more like a slightly faster version of Cat in the Hat. I put the first drop in quotations because you are suspended looking down for a long time and then the actual drop part is not that bad at all.

I hated Mummy due to how much it tosses you around, but I found Gringotts a snooze if anything. I don't get the comparisons. Gringotts is much tamer in my opinion. It jerks you around a bit, but it's hardly the high-speed coaster experience that Mummy is.

I will second everyone that says Gringotts is tamer than Mummy and FJ. Our family has a few with motion sickness and they just wanted to keep going on Gringotts after the first time.

Have fun!

Hi stranger :wave2:

Gringotts should be no problem at all. Mummy has lots of jerky movements, Gringotts has none of that; it's very smooth movements. There is a drop that is between Pirates and BTMRR, and the ride spins a couple times, but they are less intense than Spiderman/Transformers. It's meant to be more of a family ride, so it's mostly visual thrills.
