Does anyone have any healthy ways of grilling shrimp? I am looking to add a little flavor, but not a lot of calories. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

We like to brush raw shrimp with olive oil and a bit of season salt and garlic......or a bit of cajun seasoning and hot sauce for buffalo shrimp.
Also...My DH make a great shrimp stuffed portabella mushroom. He sprays the portabella with olive oil and a dash of garlic, and places it on the grill upside down. He takes some of the grilled shrimp (like I described above) and after flipping the mushroom...he loads it up with shrimp and then grinds a bit of fresh parmesan cheese on top. ( He puts shredded mozzerella on his....but a little bit of parmesan is lighter and less pts. on WW)

wow that stuffed portabello sounds yummy!!! i'm going to try that for sure!

debbie -- seems like i grill shrimp alot, but i'm drawing a blank. i did use a bobby flay recipe but i'll have look at it for healthiness :teeth:

we like the BBQ shrimp flavor which you can get by marinading, dry rub, or low sugar BBQ sauce. I just brough fresh shrimp and grilled for the first time instead of frozen and what a difference that made!

:upsidedow Thank you both. I am always looking for something new. If y'all think of anything else please do share.

I have done it with a bit of lemon juice and some Old Bay seasoning. Dry rubs work well, very little in calories if anything. Or sometimes I use FF salad dressing, like balsamic vinagrette or italian to marinate.

Isn't Old Bay just great on shrimp and fish. I like it on grilled chicken too!

I put the shrimp on skewers and marinate in FF Italian dressing and then grill.
Yummo!!!!
Serve it with carne asada or on top of salad.
