Hello! I have ARFID and one of my safe foods is grilled cheese. I've noticed a decrease in simple foods like grilled cheese across the board, which is disappointing. I've talked to special food requests and the sheet they sent didn't really cover what I was asking. Can I order something like this off menu at any places? And where can I get the best grilled cheeses in Disney World (parks AND resorts)? Right now, I have Beaches and Cream and The Fountain on my list.

Woody's Lunchbox in HS for a quick service grilled cheese. If you're going during a festival, they usually have some sort of specialty grilled cheese in Epcot(not sure what else they would put on it that might be an aversion for you though)

My young son recently loved the grilled cheese offered at Rainforest Cafe in Animal Kingdom, hope that helps!

Beaches and Cream also serves Grilled Cheese - I think I saw it on the menu at the Boardwalk shop too.

Places that provide custom pizzas can often omit sauce and meats. but include cheese alone. Blaze, for one, comes to mind (be sure to clarify if seasonings are permissible).

My guess is that chefs de france would be happy to put some brie on french bread and run it under a salamander for you. Via Napoli may (reluctantly) leave tomato sauce off pizza.

Your chances go up if the restaurant already has the needed supplies in the meal period you are seeking (lunch items are not available at dinner, and vice-versa, except for restaurants with crossover menus.

Roaring Fork at the WL has had (although I didn’t see it on their menu last September) a wonderful 4-cheese grilled cheese sandwich. Perhaps it is offered periodically. I loved it.

If you make grilled cheese with Kraft singles, they don't have to be refrigerated. So you can make a few in your room and bring them with you. They will be cold, of course, but it's better than not eating. You can travel with one of those really small gridles, like the George Foreman grills.

The ABC Commissary at HS has a grilled ham and cheese on the kids menu that you can order without the ham - I did that last year when I wasn’t feeling 100%, and it hit the spot.

I would assume most places that serve a cheeseburger as well you could order and leave off the meat. Not sure what the charge would be and probably not the best grilled cheese but if you needed something.

You can use an iron to make a grilled cheese, too. My mom used to when we were kids and we thought it was the best thing. All you need is aluminum foil to wrap up the bread and cheese. Set the iron at its hottest setting then put it directly on top of the sandwich wrapped in foil. A minute or two on each side (may need to check depending on how hot the iron gets). Make sure you put the sandwich on a surface that won't burn - ironing board will work. It's a flat sandwich but good!

My son also has ARFID and one of his safe foods is grilled cheese, too. We went to Big River Grille on the Boardwalk two weeks ago, and he ate what he said is his favorite grilled cheese ever; he's still talking about it. He also liked the grilled cheese at Beaches and Cream, but not at Woody's Lunchbox - it had too many unfamiliar cheeses for him.

I think at Table Service you would likely be able to get because odds are they have bread and cheese in the kitchen. They work hard with guests.

At Quick Service you might run into issues as they are about mass producing. You can try of course but I think for my own use of time I'd be searching the menus for who serves it already, and especially look at the kids meals.

NOTE: I've been told the reason why so many of theirs are so good is because they use mayonnaise to grill the bread, not butter. I pulled lots of "Disney" recipes and sure enough they say use mayonnaise. Just in case someone has an issue with that.

Beaches & cream, Woodys listed above in 2018 I had one at the Edison I don’t know if it’s still on the menu

The Earl of Sandwich has a grilled cheese on the kid's menu. ABC Commissary also has a Buffalo chicken grilled cheese sandwich that you could probably get without the chicken. Ale & Compass has a grilled cheese w/tomato soup. It does have truffle butter, but I'm sure you could omit that.

Gasparilla Island Grill, the QS at the Grand Floridian, has a grilled cheese.
In my opinion, this is the best plain one on property; we like to take a break from MK and ride over on the boat for lunch. Came with tomato soup for $9.99 when I was there in December. We also were in Steakhouse 71 for lunch yesterday and I heard the server tell the guests at a nearby table that they would make you a plain one on request, although personally I'd get the one with the onion jam and pulled pork.

My wife had grilled cheese at The Edison last month. I got to try some of her leftover (sandwich was huge... each half was the size of a complete sandwich in my estimation) and it was very tasty. It was pretty pricey for grilled cheese, but my wife indicated that it was one of the best grilled cheese sandwiches she ever ate (she also likes Gasparilla Island Grill's grilled cheese a lot).

Not exactly grilled cheese (also has ham in it), but we also like the Croque Monsieur at Riviera (Primo Piatto).
