What do you eat along with your grilled cheese sandwiches?

I like to have mine one of two ways:

Grilled cheese sandwich with a nice hot bowl of tomato soup

OR

Grilled cheese sandwich with potato chips and dill pickles..

What is your pleasure? :)

I'm a grilled cheese dipper. I like it cut into thirds, and then I have to dip it in something.. either ketchup or in a bowl of tomato soup with crackers. Yum!

We actually had grilled cheese sandwiches (made with our Mickey Grilled Cheese maker ) and tomato soup for dinner tonite - YUM!

Oh - I never thought of "dipping" my grilled cheese..:thumbsup2

When I make tuna fish sandwiches, I put the tuna in a hot dog roll and "dip" it in my tomato soup..:goodvibes

Tomato soup for sure - I'm a dipper! I also like to put a little bit of Miracle Whip in mine; muenster would be my cheese of choice. Yumm!

Grilled cheese and tomato soup is a staple in our house during the fall and winter.
I like to put tomatoes on my sandwich, and sometimes we have grilled ham and cheese.

Even better - make your grilled cheese with tuna on it and then dip! It's great.

I posted on another thread that I had been sick. The tomato soup/grilled cheese sounds yummy! I wouldn't even consider dipping anything in my soup.

Grilled cheese with reaspberry jam spread on one side of the bread after it is grilled-Yum!

Grilled cheese with a thick slice of just picked garden ripe tomato grilled right inside. Doesnt get any better than that :)

Another vote for grilled chesse & tomato soup - my comfort food! I am not a dipper, but my DD is :thumbsup2

Ketchup! I LOVE to dip my grilled cheese into ketchup-it's gotta be Heinz. Tomato soup is a nice side. So are french fries. With ketchup. Heinz.:thumbsup2

I gotta tell ya, those tuna grilled cheese sandwiches are making me a little nauseous. blech..

I like my grilled cheese with a slice of ham and a fried egg inside. Apple with carmel sauce or grapes. No tomato soup for me.

I like my grilled cheese, either american or cheddar, with Apple or Pineapple Jelly spread on the bread after grilling!!:lovestruc

Grilled cheese with american, swiss and then cheddar or provolone or jack or something else....add fresh tomato slices and avacado. YUMMO! My lovebug likes me to put bacon on his as well, but quite frankly, bacon is disgusting to me so I go without.

Rye, Marble, or Multi-grain bread, with havarti, munster, cheddar, american, or provolone-grilled with lots of margarine!

Sometimes I like to add avocado.

Adding ham sounds awesome, but I can never quite get it cooked correctly-the ham always ends up cold. Any suggestions? :confused3

LOVE tomato soup on the side! I usually dip a little, but not for the whole sandwich.

When you cook your grilled cheese, put your heat really low. I put mine on the 3. Let it heat up and then put your sandwich on, it will take a while to cook, but it will be perfectly golden and everything will be perfectly melted and your meat will be warm/hot. If your heat is too high, it won't cook all the way through before burning.
