Grey's Anatomy....anyone watching?

Lordy, Im emotionally drained and exhausted! Don't know how Im going to sleep , I feel pumped up with adrenaline! Great episode!

Seattle has 1300 Police Officers... wonder where they all went :)

The hospital went on lockdown. They might want to rethink that procedure. Lock all the cops out, but allow the shooter to roam all the floors. :sad2:

Wouldn't it have been better to try to secure all the floors at once, instead of going floor by floor? :confused3

That bothered me so bad.

I guess they didn't do much because they had to add to the suspension.

. . . of disbelief? :p

It was an interesting show but not what I expected. I like cliffhangers. So much can be done the following season when you think about the outcome all summer. This was a disappointment.
I also knew who they were going to kill off. Most were the new residents from the other hospital. Their story lines were going nowhere and there are already too many main characters to bring in more.
I didn't like that they humanized Miranda so much. She never cries and she was blubbering like a baby. She let me down. She handled the death scene more like the Miranda I have come to know and love, tough but loving and there for the patient.
I kind of also knew that Merideth would lose the baby. The storyline wouldn't have room for a baby in their lives right now, babies are for when the show is dying and they need something to pick it up. Now the two lesbian Doctors Callie and her pediatrician lover are 2nd string, they can deal with the pregnancy problems, not the main characters.
Izzie had her last show a few weeks ago and wasn't even written in the storyline anymore. but it was hard for me to watch Little Grace confess her love then have Alex carry on about how much he loved Izzie. I do think he knows that she would be better off with McSteamy and he was giving her the out.
Overall, I would give it a B-. It could have passed for a regular show, not the final season episode.
I hope LOST is better, but I will miss Lost, if Grey's anatomy enede I don't think I would miss it as much.

Yeah, the last time I cried like this, was for the season finale a couple years ago, when Denny died. The show kind of went downhill after that. I certainly wasn't expecting this calibre of writing again.

Although this season started quite weak - the writing/storyline/acting between Owen, Teddy and Yang has been out of this world. The three of them - well fantastic casting and writing. Sandra Oh is always beyond wonderful - but her and Kim Raver together - perfection.

Eh, I didn't care for that storyline. (I love Sandra Oh. :thumbsup2 ) Christina deserves better than some damaged guy pining for another woman.

Yeah but even if you hate Owen - the writing and acting of the three of them.

It killed me earlier in the season when Cristina said, "Take him" to Teddy because she didn't want to lose her mentor.

And then - I'm laughing just thinking about it - when she nonchalantly told Meredith what she had said. And Meredith says "you can't talk like that. I understand you. But you can't talk like that." Knowing that no one understands how the two of them think. :goodvibes

Yes, I love Kim Raver, too. Maybe that's why I didn't care for this storyline. Both women/actresses are so strong, and the writing has them both as weak & pining for a guy who doesn't deserve either of them. :p

I'm exhausted from that episode. Not my cup of tea. Denny's season yes. But I was overwhelmingly shocked by George last season. Certainly didn't see that coming until the last few moments.

I liked last week's episode better than this finale and that doesn't make sense. It shouldn't be that way.

Between this and LOST - emotionally drained from TV - although it did make me think about loved ones.

What a great espiode!!! I cried and cried of course. Chief did amazing with the craazy loon. Now, all I have to wait is for Alex to pull through

Grey's has been so weak compared to Private Practice this year. However, they made up for all of that in one extended episode. That was one intense show. My heart was pounding from about 10 minutes in to the end! Wow.......

I think I dreamed about the episode all night! I was shaking through the whole show. Some of my favorite parts were when Christina was still working on Derek even with a gun to her head. She was great. I was really surprised to see the shooter in the OR, I did not see that coming. Sad that there is no McBaby yet.
I don't think I have ever been so wrapped up in an episode before this. I'm so glad there is no cliffhanger to worry about all summer.

I wasn't able to watch it last night when it was on, and had planned on just watching it this morning but decided to start watching about midnight last night. I watched the whole thing! I thought it was a really good episode. I was glad to hear, at the end, that Derek was awake and asking for Meredith, but he could still take a turn for the worse so I do hope that doesn't happen when the show returns in the fall. I just can't imagine the show without McDreamy!! So sad about her losing the baby tho. :( I hope I don't sound cold or hard-hearted but I really didn't care about the new characters getting killed. I never liked them anyway. I felt bad for Lexie when Alex thought she was Izzy. :(

That episode was way too ER for me, after ER was bad. The Mr. Clark guy gets shot by the SWAT member and STILL roams the hospital for a few more hours killing? Pa-leeze. As soon as he was hit once and down he'd get peppered with a dozen more holes. And the way they just talk casually after they know a shooter is in area. Pa-leeze. I was waiting for Denny to come back from the dead AGAIN somehow!

So sad to see Reed gone. She was the best intern, after Avery. I thought she had the makings of a solid character. Sassy, smart, sexy. When she had that smile when Mark proposed the 3 some, I thought maybe she'd be a bi-sexual character to move into the Arizone and Callie love storyline. When Reed got that shot to the head I stopped breathing for a moment. What a shock!

It takes the cops all day to find the shooter, but Richard finds him right away. No cameras in this hospital? No loudspeaker to call a code red? I'm usually good about suspending reality for a TV show or movie, but too much last night made me just sigh and roll my eyes.

I loved the episode! Very intense. There were of course a lot of unbelievable elements (I was wondering where everyone in the hospital disappeared to. You know hundreds of people work there, but Bailey and Mandy Moore were alone in that hallway? Was MM the only patient? )

Still... one of the best episodes all year, I thought.

Yeah, I agree with you. I had to suspend belief for much of the show, but the rest of it was very intense.

I honestly couldn't watch all the people being shot, so I would turn the channel quickly and just come back to see the aftermath.

One thing I was wondering about ~ where was the guy that Miranda used to date? Where did he go and why wasn't he in this episode? Or was he and I missed him in my numerous channel flippings?

I knew what would happen with Callie and Arizona, as Jessica Capshaw (Arizona) is pregnant in real life, so I knew that would be a way to write in a baby for those two.

That's because its was the room Mrs Clark had been in.

What I found laughable was Richard was sitting on the bed right across from him when Mr Clark shot himself, and Richard ends up with no blood on him AT ALL next scene we see him in. :rotfl:

I got so caught up in last night's episode that ot never occurred to me to wonder where the rest of the patients were. Duh. I did wonder why none of the doors seemed to have locks though. And all those peds patients and no parents around?

Miranda's boyfriend wasn't on last night. Day off, maybe? I was sorry to see Charles die; I liked his character.

I was glad they didn't make it a cliffhanger.

Yeah, some parts were unrealistic. Most peds depts now have locked doors that you need to be buzzed in to. Not sure why Miranda didn't try one time (at the elevator) to call on a phone for help?

And count me among those who had bad dreams! I'd rather fall asleep to something from the DIY network - not murders!!
