Greyhound Bus discount code (Peterborough-BUF airport)?

Is anyone familiar with greyhound discount codes? We ( 1 senior, 1 adult, 2 kids) have to get from Peterborough,ON to the BUF airport (one way only) in the spring and am trying to figure out the least expensive way to do this.

I have travelled extensively via Greyhound and you can get great discounts 21, 14 or 7 days before your travel date. Type in your dates on their scheduling page to see at greyhound.ca. You can also check with your local bus depot.

Thanks for the info. With the 21 day advance purchase the price is only about $23 per person (before tax) from Peterborough to BUF airport. The bus arrives in BUF at 9:45. We have a 12:45 flight to MCO so this would give us enough time. Or I might take the bus to BUF the day before and stay at comfort suites for a night prior to flight.

Are the greyhound busses usually on-time?

The buses are reasonably on time but you just never know and I've experienced delays for one reason or another. I wouldn't want to chance it with just 3 hours between scheduled arrival in Buffalo and flight time.

Just checking the schedule, you will transfer in Toronto and Buffalo bus depots plus cross the border. When I crossed at Detroit years ago, everyone on the bus had to go into immigration and we got held up an extra 30 min. by a student who didn't have correct ID. In the end he got sent back and his friends went on without him. I don't know how it works now crossing by bus, but if it were me, I'd plan to arrive the day before and stay overnight, just to be sure.

Thanks so much for your input. I so appreciate it. This is such a special trip (celebrating DDs 13th birthday, SURPRISE trip!!) I don't want anything to spoil it. I think to be on the safe side we will take the bus down the day before and stay at the comfort suites. Then fly out the next day.

Good plan!! You will be SO much less stressed in arriving the day before your flight, especially for your DD's surprise trip!
