Hi everyone! The packages are arriving! The cards are really, really neat!

Just wanted to let everyone know that the cards are coming in steadily. If you are having some trouble with the deadline, let me know.

As many of you know I have a new teaching job this year. I teach at an alternative school (7-12, though last year we did have some 5th and 6th graders) for kids who are expelled and long/short term suspended. They did not have a science teacher last year, so I am starting from scratch. I have physical science, chemistry, biology, health, pe, 8th grade science right now--all of which I must develop from scratch. I also started a masters program.

Anyway...in the next two weeks I have two observations, one day long class, three short papers to write, two short classes and a "hunter" lesson plan to teach and reflect on as well as teach every day. Plus my son has a huge boy scout harvest celebration that they are doing this weekend. So, I will do my best to make my November 10 "swap back to you deadline." I hope you will understand if I am a few days late.

Totally OT, but let me know if you need any science activities. I was once a chemistry, physical science teacher and have some activities like projects you could have. I could send you copies if you were interested.

I love my job and working with the kids. What is hard is we get kids from 8 junior highs and 5 high schools. Of course noone is doing the same thing, especially in high school! The kids come at any time and usually stay for the quarter or semester, but you never know! We just got 4 new kids this week, have a hearing for one more, and have two that have been there two weeks--along with the other 12 we have had longer. It is never dull, that's for sure!

I'm such a loser. I overextended myself and I'm just geting my cards mailed out today. They've been done for a couple of days but I haven't been able to get to the post office.
They should arrrive in plenty of time before the mail out date. Could someone PM me the hostess address? I would like to get these to the post office today. Thanks!

Looks like everything should be here by this weekend, Monday at the latest. This swap shouldn't be hard to swap out, so I am hoping to have it back to you by midweek of next week.
