I'm so jealous!! My younger sister and my mom boarded the Wonder today for their first-ever cruise!
My sis must have called me at least five time in the last 24 hours (thank goodness for cell phones, huh? ) and it was bittersweet to get those "play-by-plays"!
The biggest hint that they have so far is to GET THERE EARLY!!! They flew to Orlando last night and spent the night at the Renaissance. They were on the second bus to port and one of the first on the boat!
By 2pm they had gotten in their room, checked out the kids' clubs (for next family trip), eaten at Parrot Cay (VERY highly recommended but was getting a bit crazy by the time they had finished eating), and were talking to me as they lounged/swam in the adult pool...the FIRST ONES THERE!
When I was on that last phone call (I'm assuming it will be the last until they sail back to port on Thursday), I got to hear the ship's horn play that infamous tune followed by an enthusiastic announcement!!
WOW!!! I felt like I was there!
Since they are...ahem..."researching" for our big family 7-day cruise scheduled for next November, I suppose they had to go!!
It was just so cool to be a "little" part of their cruise...and even though I'm a little...ummm...green (well, more like a light shade of pistachio!), I thought I'd share my "brush" with the Wonder. It just made it that much more real!
