Joining in! I love a surprise and what a fabulous surprise it was!

:lmao: Too funny that your 5 yr old DD was set on the beach! I bet in her 5 yr old mid she had planned out the whole trip to the beach and now you messed the whole thing up with a trip to WDW!

Sounds like you had a fabulous first morning! Breakfast at 1900 Park Fare is a lot of fun!

Thanks for sharing your trip! It looks like so much fun. I can't wait to read more! popcorn::

Sorry I haven't posted another update. We are having our dance recital this weekend, so I have been trying to get the costumes ready. We also took the girls to the movies Wednesday to see Marmaduke. It was hilarious. DH and I also went to Morgan City to see the Tiger Tour. Tiger Tour is LSU head football coach Les Miles and Athletic Director Joe Alleva host a supper and speak about the upcoming season. That is one thing you will get to know about my family. We LOVE LSU.

So, on to tink's garden. We enjoy the changes they make to Tink's garden each year. Each time we visited for the Flower and Garden festival, they have expanded Tink's garden. We love to see all of the butterflies. Tinkerbell is usually DD5's favorite character so we played around here for a while.

My girls love the activities for the kids to do around the countries. Tink's garden had these color sheets that cast members would give you with a color. At each fairy there was a wooden board that your color sheet would fit on and you would rub the color over the sheet and an outline of each fairy would appear on your sheet. THey also had a little playground and maze for the kids to play on.

We also made it in time for story time. These ladies were acting with this southern accent and they were hilarious. They read a story about Belle, not quite as Belle's story goes, but the girls there seem to enjoy it. They also got plenty of fairy stickers from them.

Then we passed through the butterfly dome:

They also had a small section right across from the story time that was dedicated to The Princess and the Frog.

Next we head to tour the worlds.

How cute are all of those Fairy topiaries! I wish they would have extended the F&G Festival for one more week. I love seeing everything set up for it. It was already gone when we were there a week after it ended.

It's so strange to read a TR and see a reference to Morgan City. So weird!

How are yall doing in your neck of the woods with this mess going on? We're fine here in Houma for now. I hear there are some oil issues down in Cocodrie. My sister is an EMT and is scheduled to work shifts down there a couple of times a week. No oil smells for us. I understand Grand Isle is ghost town...except for the media of course.

I am disappointed that when we go in 2011, we will miss the Flower and Garden Festival. This will be the first time.

I was amazed to find anyone this close to me on here. I was just catching up on your TR and my father-in-law grew up in Dularge, I think. I know he is from the Houma area. I also have a co-worker/friend who lives in Montegut. I wonder how everyone is going to try to pronounce these towns. :rotfl2:

We are okay here. Shannon works offshore right out of Fourchon and he says they have some tar balls and a sheen of oil when the tide is coming in. I am just a little concerned if they don't start up the drilling again all the people that will lose their jobs. If that starts happening, its just a domino effect. I don't stress out over it, but its in the back of my mind.

My mom was from Chauvin, moved to Bourg & then to Montegut. I was born & raised in Bourg. My husband works in the oilfield & things are not looking good at all since they have banned all offshore drilling. This may be our last Disney trip for awhile.

Good night everyone. I am going to have two very long days ahead of me. We have Dance recital rehersal tomorrow and recital on Sunday. I will take some pics and post them for you guys.

We are always in Houma because as you know, down here in Golden Meadow, there is not much. We may have crossed paths before. Isn't it such a small world. Just like when we are at WDW, we always meet up with someone that we know, or from the bayou, as we say.

Even though our area has its ups and downs with the oilfield, I don't think I would want to live anywhere else.

It's also good to know that I am not the only one on here late.

I am with you. I love it here, wouldn't mind a summer house in Maine though!:rotfl: It's been way too hot!!!!

And no, I am here until way late!!!

Beautiful pictured from F&G! DH and I had the opportunity to go last year and it was so pretty! All the kids activities looked fabulous!

Good luck with the recital!

What a long day. Dance recital practice was so chaotic. We had to take class pictures also. The photographer was disorganized and that made the practice fall behind. but anyhow, DD5 finally danced on stage. This is her 3rd year, and she really enjoys it. She just gets shy in front of alot of people. She did both her dances today. Hopefully, she will do them again tomorrow. She says she will because she wants her nanny to see her, forget about me. DD9 always does well. She is on the competition dance team. She keeps me very busy because she is in 4 dances. Here are a couple of pics:

Wouldn't be the same without a funny face:

I realized that I didn't take a pic of DD9 in all of her costumes. I did remember to take a group picture. DD9 is second from left standing:

This is their competition production number. This year they are performing the Flinstones. DD9 has the Pink wig. She is Pebbles.

Recital tomorrow. We have to be there dressed and ready to go for 11am.

So, my life is finally getting back to normal, or as normal as my life is. I should say, my next few weeks, I will have evenings off from running the kids around.

I almost had my next installment finished, when photobucket locked up my computer. So I will try again.

When I left off, we were heading to the World Showcase. There a few of must do's when we go to WS. First is a margarita from Mexico. We normally get one at Cantina de San Angel. The margaritas here are on e of the best I ever had. This trip, it was closed for refurbishment. So, we got one at the Margarita Stand. It was horrible. We got the fiesta margarita, which was layered strawberry, mango and original. I could not even drink it. We threw them away. Oh well, next time Cantina de San Angel should be open and we can get one there.

DD9 wanted to try the Kim Possible Experience. I was a little skepticle of how much time it would take. We agreed that if it was taking up to much time, she would return the phone. Our mission was in Japan.

We have done WS on our last trip. This trip, there were only a couple of things we wanted to do. We did not want to visit each country.

The second must do in WS is Voices of Liberty in the American Adventure. This is absolutely the most amazing thing I ever heard. I always get goose bumps and tears hearing them sing. Our country is just the most wonderful place to be. Our dilemma is that we have a wait till they perform, but not enough time to head to Japan and do KP. So we decide to wait around the American Adventure for about 20 minutes. We browsed in the little shop for awhile. They are finally letting us in and we are one of the first ones and get a seat right on the floor in the center.

084.jpg

I was also a little surprised that some of the singers were also there last year. They mustn't change them very often.

Here is a photo from the WS facing SE.

080.jpg

We head over to Japan to do our KP mission. Jaden had fun. It was pretty neat and didn't take up to much time. She could've continued on, but she was fine with doing just one mission. When we returned our phone, the Japanese Candy Art, Miyuki, was just getting started. I wish I would have taken a few pics. She made a flamingo and a koala bear while we watched.

I took this picture while doing our KP mission:

Our third must do in WS will come when we visit Epcot later in our trip.

We head back to FW to use our fastpasses for Soarin'. We still had a little while to wait and my girls are getting hungary. We decide to eat at Sunshine Seasons. I read great reviews. I ordered the Rotisserie Pork Chop with rice pilaf and mashed potatoes. DH ordered the same thing. He has a bad habit of ordering what I do. It's a joke between us, we won't say what we are ordering and we still order the same thing. DD9 ordered mac and cheese and DD5 ordered a rotisserie chicken leg with mashed potatoes. Madison ended up eating all her food plus Jaden's mac and cheese that she had left. The food was very good and you got a lot of food. We will definately eat here again.

Off to Soarin'. DD5 Madison, was scared as usual. Once the ride took off, and she saw that it was not scary, she relaxed a bit. She said she liked it.

We headed back to the resort to rest for a bit. I wanted to see Spectromagic and tonight was the only night it fit into our plans. MK also had EMH til 2am. We did not plan on staying that late, just to catch the fireworks, Spectromagic and let the girls ride their favorite rides in the MK.

Up next, our surprise at the Resort.....

We head back to the resort for a little rest. This is what we find when we return:

086-1.jpg

Then the girls decide to make silly faces, as usual:

088.jpg

089.jpg

Then DH decided it was his turn:

087.jpg

Then he talked me into having a turn:

094.jpg

We added Madi's flower balloon:

095.jpg

I also took a picture of our room number:

096-1.jpg

We also decided that it was time to call our parents and let them know where we really are. Jaden call MIL first, they were on vacation in Las Vegas, and they did not believe her. DH had to convince her. :rotfl2: I can't figure out why no one wants to beleive us. :confused3 Next we call my mom. Our two previous trips, they came with us. And guess what, she doesn't believe us either. I had to convince her that we were really in DW. DH and I just though that was the funniest thing.

The girls decide they don't want to rest, they want to swim. So I let them. I head to the Food Court to get something to drink. We sit and watch them swim for about 30 minutes til we hear thunder. We decide to head to MK even though it looks like it's about to rain. I figure that its will pass quickly and that MK is far from ASMo and the sun will be shining there. I make them get out and we dress to go to MK. It still has not started raining.
Waiting for the bus:

Jaden is so jealous of her little sister, that she has to do everything she does. I try to get her to understand that she needs to be her own person and do her own things. I tried to tell her that she is to big to fit under the letter:

100.jpg

101.jpg

Our plan is to head over to MK and watch SpectroMagic and Wishes. We will also catch a few rides, most probably SM and TeaCups the girls' most favorite.

Up next: how do you think our MK evening turned out?

A little off topic: Is anyone else having trouble with Photobucket. It keeps locking up on me. I keep losing my updates and then I have to start over. I think I will look into another photosharing site. Anyone have any recommendations?

Looks like you had a great day at Epcot! We did KP in January and it was really neat! We did 3 or 4 different countries! I finally told DD she had to give the phone back because we were walking back and forth across the whole WS!

I love the window pictures!!! Too cute!!!

When I do updates to my TR/PTR I do them in Word and copy and paste them in because I've lost so many updates! It's really annoying!!! I HATE photobucket! I use webshots (.com) and it's much better, at least to me! I've never had a problem uploading them, even when I do 300 pictures at a time and the pictures stay in order!

Thanks. I will try out webshots. I never thought of typing in word and copying.

Great report so far! I love the pictures from the Fairy garden. My parents' timeshare week always puts us during the Flower festival, so we love it! Sorry you'll miss it next year!
