I would actually compare it to a moderate resort at Disney. Clean, spacious, great staff. A few different food options (although I found the buffet retaurant expensive. Did you go on their website to see what specials they are offering??
Some additional surprises are the animated animals in the lobby that do a show twice daily. They also can talk to the kids when a "button" is pressed. Their are 2 mascot charaters that come out for meet and greets, they have story time every night at 8pm where there is a story read, show and the characters come out (the kids all wear their PJs to the lobby. The gaming area is lots of fun and my kids love the cub club (crafting room). Nothing is free but overall it is an enjoyable stay.
The fridges in the room are decent sized so go ahead and pack lots of food and drink so you can dine in your meal. There is also a microwave in every room.

I told him I appreciated the offer but I don't think any staff member should have to clean up that!
Another staff member came running down the hallway insisting he wanted to carry our luggage to our van when we were leaving and then didn't want a tip. He said he just wanted to help! I enjoyed the water park but the staff was amazing.
