Do you think there will be any promo codes for Great Wolf Lodge (Grand Mound, WA) for this July? Or will it be packed anyway due to it being summer?

Our Disney vacation was not as fun as it should have been, and to make up for it, we are taking DS and a friend to GWL this summer.

Should we book now, or wait? We plan on going mid-week (July 19-20-21 * 2 nights).

If we do book now, if a promo code comes out, can we call and use it, or are we stuck at full price?

Right now we are looking at approx. $500 for 2 nights, plus tax, etc.

Thanks, in advance! I did check the archives, but didn't see anything that would help me.

Found a working code (at least for the Grand Mound lodge) = early

Another question though :

We were going to pay, without the code $249/night for a Family Suite.

However, with the code, it is giving us a rate of $246/night for the Wolf Den Suite.

My son is bringing a friend, so I am leaning towards spending the extra and getting the Wolf Den Suite. My son and friend are both 13, and video game fanatics.

Wolf Den Suite =
The Wolf Den suite features an in-suite cave-themed sleeping area for the kids with a bunk bed and their own 15" flat screen TV. In the main portion of the suite for the adults there is a queen bed, full-size sofa-sleeper and a 27" TV.

Family Suite = The Family suite is one of our most popular and features 2 queen beds and a semi-private living area with a full-size sofa-sleeper.

Wolf Den seems to be a bit more private for adults (although there will be no hanky panky, LOL) and seems to give kids their own area, which I am sure they will love.

Anybody stay at the GWL? Can you give me your thoughts on the rooms?

Thanks!!

We've stayed in the kidcabin suite (has a log cabin instead of cave). Kids were 10 & 12. They didn't like it. Beds are small (short) and you can't see the TV from the bunks very well at all. The TV is smaller and ok for video games, but they will both have to be on the single bed in order to play.

We will do the family suite next time.

Thanks!

I have a feeling the tv won't be used too much. They are both 13 so I think their time will be spent doing the waterpark and magiquest during the day, and the "teen nightclub" during the night.

We did decide to get the Wolf Den Suite. The boys are super excited about having their own area inside the room.

I am trying to find photos of the Wolf Den Suite online, but can't find anything. So that tells me that I will need to take lots of photos of the room before we mess it up, LOL.

I am excited. But not nearly as excited as DS and his friend. I think his friend is most excited of all though, LOL. He is a big Harry Potter fan, and can't wait to do the Magiquest.

We stayed at the Grand Mound GWL last year. We had 4 kiddos with us and they LOVED having their own space. Have fun!

We've been a few times and I think we stayed in this one the last time we went - it was great! The kids loved it.

The boys absolutely LOVED Magiquest - now it is a MUST-DO whenever we go again. DH even contemplated going to the Magiquest in Myrtle Beach, but another Disney trip sort of quashed that idea.

Magiquest at Myrtle Beach is FAR superior to our GWL Magiquest...But it isn't DISNEY! Just my 2 cents...

the early code doesnt work for williamsburg va.

but yes if you book now at full price. and then find a code you CAN adjust it :)

have fun:lovestruc
