Yesterday was Disneyland. Sunny, warm, but not hot. We had virtually not wait times (no waits for us is under 20 minutes) and most often were walking right onto rides. We waited the longest for the Storybook Boats (20 min) and at the end of the day had FP to Space Mtn at 9:10, so at 8:30 we waited 30-40 min for the ride then walked right back on with our FP before having dinner and heading back to our room. We were able to get in 25 attractions.

Today was California Aventure. We always take this day a little slower as this park feels more like EPCOT or the MGM (or whatever they call it now) in WDW. The entired main street of Hollywood is blocked off and really takes away from the experience as it leaves narrow coridoors to walk down and between the WOC construction and some other midway stuff being redone it felt a little odd. But we had a good time. We were able to do 22 attractions in CA then went DL to upgrade our GAD vouchers for annual passes. We went on Star Tours and rode the Monorail to Storytellers for dinner and by then we were done for the day. It was a little more overcast, but not cold. We had to wait almost an hour for that new Toy Story Mania or whatever it was called. I can't believe how many people but in line in front of us to catch up with their "group, family, etc." We also had to wait 30 minutes for Muholland Madness, not sure that was worth it. The park feels VERY under construction!

Tomorrow the boys are starting off doing the Toon Town VIP thing then I am gonig to meet them in CA for the first showing of Aladdin. We always end up doing a lot more park hopping on the last day. It's supposed to be cooler tomorrow, but no rain. Definately a good week to be in the park!

Sounds like you are having a great time!

What a difference a few days makes with our weather. Monday was beautiful and warm. Very Springlike and today it is cold and almost drizzly. Rain is expected (in some amount) over the next 5 days starting tonight (or this afternoon.)

Currently about 57 at DLR and only reaching about 60. Chance of rain tonite is 70%.

But hey, even it if rains, at least your at the "Happiest Place on Earth":goodvibes

Hello neighbor...

I'm glad you're having a great time. We are having lovely weather while you are gone! :)

As for the people catching up with their group thing...I agree. We were there in December and a few times, my husband and I commented on this...it's frustrating. You know, if you're in line and all of a sudden, a little one has to desperately go to the bathroom, that's one thing. But we were being brushed aside by groups of 6 - 8 people to catch up with their group, and I find it to be rude. I'm sure others feel quite different than I do, but yeah...I wish people would either wait for their party before getting into line, or gosh, maybe just split into two groups to ride.

Have a great rest of your trip!

Yay for a good time in the parks ~ I hear ya about the walls in DCA but they'll be down soon and the park will be so much better! Enjoy Aladdin ~ DD and I will for sure see it (for the 3rd time) when we visit in early July.

Great day for our 3rd day. A little cloudy and we wanted to wear our sweatshirts with all the faast rides and water features and all.

It was more crowded and as it was friday you could tell when all the locals got off school and work. That was a bit frustrating. Tomorrowland turned into a teen hang out.

But we still had a great time. It did rain, but right when we were sitting down for dinner and fireworks... so we just hung out under our umbrella table and enjoyed our dinner and were excited they didn't cancel the show! The little one was rejuvinated and begged to do a few more tomorrowland rides, we shopped our way out of the parks to end up at Lincoln and the highlight of the day, Mickey and Minnie, together, just hainging out before Lincoln with just a few of us. I think it was to keep them out of the rain. The two were so cute together and we should have video taped the whole thing. I am not sure if they do that often, but they did have a bit of a routine down. The little one had fun playing with them and watching them when they showed the Walt Video.

So, our final day ended up 16 hours!

My husband ended up upgrading our 3 day park hoppers and give a day vouchers to get annual passes because we are coming back in April andour annual trip next Jan or Feb. So we might just have to come out one more time since it will be free! Well, less plane tickets and hotel !LOL!

We might pop in tomorrow for a bit, but it's time to hook up with our relatives for that leg of our California visit.

Good luck to the rest of you coming next week in the rain!

We are also visiting early July - will there be less construction around by then?

Most of the construction will be done in July. WOC will have premiered by then and the walls in Hollywood are only supposed to be there for another 3 months or so (according to one of our CM friends).

The summer is high season for DLR so you can expect all rides to be open, extended hours, more entertainment, not much construction (expect for Ariel, of course), and more crowds.

Have a great time!

Oh, the group butting in line... we had not one, not two... but overr 10 people one or 2 at a time... so at first you don't know how to handle it.... and this was multiple times with whole groups of people, families, etc. People bringing eachother food etc. It was soooo annoying. I think the new TOy Story ride in CA needs some cast guidance during the wait to help stop some of it. That could REALLY cut down on the wait! It was so obvious they were doing the carousel, or other things and coming back into line. UG!

I will have to post more of a trip report type thing later.. this weekend is the Nascar race... the grandparents went today and they are taking the little one tomorrow while we get a day off!

We just got home this week - and while people cut in line to meet up with their party everywhere (sigh) I though it was especially bad at Toy Story Mania. Part of the problem I thought, besides those that just walk up the line, were the two different "open" spots in the line that people waited at after getting their food and/or riding something else and then just hopped in when their friend got to that area.

One guy ran a little, cut my ds8 off to get to the line first, and he was all alone - for 25 minutes. I knew he was there with friends because I remembered them from another ride. Sure enough - they joined him after 25 minutes. :confused3

We traveled to WDW with 15 people from age 65 to 3 two years ago. If we ALL wanted to ride, we all stood in line. Sure we made the fastest most fit of us run with all the tickets to get FP's, but we never cut in line. :littleangel:

Sorry for the little rant. This must have bothered me more than I realized.
