Bid currently at approx. $69/pt. for 370pts. w/740 total available in Sept.

How does that work with ROFR? If Disney exercises does seller still have to pay Ebay the fee?

Looks like they're selling two contracts that total 370. Wonder if they're the same use year.

what am I thinking? It doesn't matter to me. I'm buying a Solara convertible, not more points.

Just wanted to put out a caution on this particular resale. I saw it posted on ebay in June and was watching it when the realtor ended the listing early claiming a problem with the reserve amount. When I emailed her to ask when it would be corrected and relisted, I was told it was already "under contract", and this was less than 24 hours later! Someone from the realtor's office emailed me a couple of days later and offered me what I believe to be the same contract outside of ebay. The closing costs were also higher than what was listed (850 vs. 675). Now, lo and behold, here it is listed on ebay again. I'm not saying it isn't a great contract because it is. But I would proceed carefully with this particular realtor. Also, please be aware that this is actually two contracts, one for 270 points and one for 100 points. That means two $100 transfer fees to Disney as part of the closing costs. I would really have liked to purchase this contract, but I couldn't bring myself to do business with the realtor. Just my feelings on the matter.

Sure. Why wouldn't they? Regardless of who gets the contract (prospective buyer or DVC) the seller still gets his money and eBay is entitled to their fees for facilitating the sale.

If the auction is successful, the seller will pay the fees, period. The devil is indeed in the details. So with jacked up closing costs and likely higher than appropriate maint fees reimbursed, this may not be as good as it seems on the surface. Still, if it's what you want, go for it. Just make sure to document and double check everything including directly with DVC.
