As much as I hate to do laundry on vacation, going in August it's a neccesity. I used to scour the internet for sample packs of detergent to bring with me and then I found the small Tide bottles at Target for $1. The Tide bottles work out well, but I have heard that they don't have them anymore.

Well, I was at Target today and found 2 oz bottles of All Small & Mighty detergent for $1. Each bottle has enough liquid for 2 washes. The best part is, these bottles are so small...about the size of a travel size shampoo bottle. They will take up so much less space then the Tide bottles I usually bring. You can also put them in your carry on if you don't check bags because they are only 2 oz!! Just thought I'd pass it on!

Thanks!

I also found something I want to try on our next trip. They are a 3 pack of single use Tide packets (about the size of a tea bag) that you put into a sink of water and hand wash your clothes. Since we're doing a studio in October and won't have the w/d, I'm thinking this will be a great way to wash DD2's underwear...she's got a little "flow control" issue when she uses the potty and frequently "spills" onto her underpants.

I wonder if AKL would mind a clothesline full of toddler panties hanging across our balcony!?:lmao: :lmao:

Actually, I am going to try these on our weekend camping trip in June. At least then, the clothesline is acceptable!

Ooooohhh..thanks for the tip. I usually get 2 of the tide bottles at Target, but I also use All and anything to save suitcase space is great!

I used to buy the purex tablets for vacation. They were individually wrapped. I havent been able to find them for abour 2 years now. I sure do miss them.

We use powder detergent at home, so I just put one scoop each in a ziplock bag and then take enough bags for for the amount of loads I will need. I also take a baggie full of dryer sheets. I put all of these in a large ziplock bag incase of any bag leaks.

I also hate doing laundry on vacation, but I just don't have enough clothes or suitcases to be in disney for 2 weeks without doing laundry at least once.

Thanks!

The WDW resorts have a retractable clothesline in the tub/shower. Just thought I would share in case you didn't know this.:thumbsup2 AKL does not allow anything to be hung on the balconies b/c of the animals.

Check out your dollar stores too!!

I bought 2 packs of Oxiclean detergent (3 single use packets per package).....6 loads of laundry for $2!!!
