Great Story about AKL CM's

A good friend of mine and a teacher at a local elementary school took her first trip to Disney recently. She had booked a standard room for her family at the AKL. On the last day of school she was selected as our teacher of the year. So I took it upon myself to call the AKL 2 days before their arrival and speak to someone in guest services. I mentioned it was their first trip and she had been honored as teacher of the year and that I would like to request a comp upgrade on their behalf. WELL GUESS WHAT????? When they checked in they congratulated her and told she was being upgraded!! I thought that was just totally GREAT and had to share!!!!

Oh that's so nice of Disney and such a great thing for you to do! Personally I think good teachers should make a whole lot more money than they do (and I'm not one) so it's nice to hear of this perk for her. Did she get a savannah view?

she had originally booked standard and was upgraded to savannah. I agree teachers don't make nearly enough!!!!!!!!!!

Wow that is absolutely wonderful!! So she really got TWO room upgrades!! When they upgraded her, did they tell her congrats on being teacher of the year and so we upgraded you? or did they just say that she was upgraded? thats so great!
