Okay, this is my last on this page for today, I've asked several questions in a row here! :rolleyes1 I'm looking for a place to have a delicious steak, somewhere you just loved! But, somewhere casual, not too fancy or dressy of a place, or extremely expensive, just something really good we can go to in our park clothes. Sometimes that's hard to get, you can sometimes make a better steak at home on the grill!

Thanks, again! :goodvibes

Best steak I've had in WDW.....Flying Fish.

runner up.....Le Cellier.
Happy planning

Concourse Steakhouse, if it's still open.

Shula's (at the Swan) had a real good steak and the best server we EVER had.

The steak at the Rose and Crown (England pavillion at Epcot) had a very funny taste, kinda like liver. The couple that sat next to us said the very same thing as well.

We have dined at both several times and always get a great steak.:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes Danny

I've enjoyed many a great steak at WDW, and would recommend (in no special order), the California Grill, the Brown Derby, Le Cellier, Teppan Edo and the San Angel Inn.

Enjoy.

I can't say I've had a "great" steak anywhere in WDW, but I haven't done Shula's or YSH or Flying Fish.

Le Cellier is not what it's cracked up to be. If you want to kill yourself to get an ADR there, help yourself. We were completely disappointed the two times we've been there and frankly, I don't see what all the fuss is about.

But I digress...

DH would tell you that the Prime Rib at Kona Cafe would be his favorite steak in WDW. When we eat there, it's the only thing he orders and he wipes the plate clean each and every time.

That's what I had when I ate at Kona during my previous trip to WDW, and I thought it was a good steak. Based on the criteria from the original poster, Kona fits the bill of being more casual, less expensive than other places that serve steak. My sister's teriyaki steak was very tasty, too.

I enjoyed my filet at Kona Cafe and the entree came with asparagus as well as mashed potatoes. Our server was not wonderful. She did not have the Disney attitude and she delayed in putting our drink orders in and they served our cocktails (Lapu Lapus) with our entrees. We sent the entrees back and they gave us new ones when we were ready. Kona can be very loud. The noise comes up from the lobby. I'd still like to try it again another time. We also had an excellent filet at Le Cellier and an amazing server (Patrick). We'll go back there again.

Best steak I've had is the charred strip at Flying Fish. For something more casual I'd go with LeCellier.

Kona fits the bill. Family members had the Fillet Mignon on 4 May, 2008:

as well as the Prime rib and liked them both.

(Sorry, "family" eat from this plate b4 I could get a photo opp.)

I "inspected" the restaurant that morning and was afraid it looked "too casual." (If that's possible.) But it all worked out perfectly!

Family members also had steak at LeCellier - EXCELLENT again; however, getting a ressie there might be more of a challenge.

Also, the Fillet Mignon at Jikos was excellent - but it's a Signature restaurant so I would say it doesn't fit your criteria as nicely as Kona does. Plus, Kona is right on the monorail so it doesn't matter which park you're at for the day; whereas with LeCellier, you'd want to be in Epcot or have a hopper pass to eat there!

Strangely enough, the best steak I have had at WDW is the NY strip at Coral Reef in Epcot.

I have eaten quite a few steaks at the other restaurants mentioned in WDW (and live in Texas where steak is the other other other white meat) & have had generally good steaks.......but the strip at Coral Reef has been consistently excellent the 3 times I have ordered it.

Kinda funny, as it is a seafood restaurant after all.........

I"ve had good steak at both Fulton's and Le Cellier. Both of which fit what your looking for.

We ate lunch at Le Cellier Thursday without advanced reservations :)! We were in Canada about 2:15-2:30 & asked at the podium outside about the possibility of eating lunch. No problem! We waited maybe five minutes inside. My husband & I each ordered the filet mignon. Each piece was cooked exactly as we requested & was ssooooo delicious.

We have also had delicious steaks at the Turf Club at SSR & at Yachtsman's Steakhouse.

I've had great steaks at Le Cellier, Coral Reef, Raglan Road and Boatwrights.

Had the filet at the following places and they ranked...

Citricos
Jiko
Yachtsman
Concourse
LeCellier

For a truly good steak, IMO, you need to hit a signature spot.

while we're on this topic, my family and I have an ADR for Le Cellier...which steak do you prefer from their menu...the filet or the new york strip? and what's really the difference besides the size?

I've had both and much prefer the filet. I believe the strip is a larger steak, not sure of the exact weight but the flavor and tenderness of the filet was far superior to the strip.:goodvibes

I had a fantastic filet with bernaise sauce and sauteed mushrooms at the Yachtsman...wonderful! Add the lobster bisque, the onion rolls with butter and roasted garlic and a chocolate lava cake with mint chocolate chip getlato and I was a VERY HAPPY GIRL!
