There is a great program that our school did this year called Ident-a-kid.
They came and took pictures of the kids and made id's for the parents to carry for a few bucks you have a new pic of your child and critical information if anything happens. We got one for each parent, and extra for when Dd is out with her aunts and Uncles and one that she carries that we put medical information on.
This would be a great thing for a community or school to do. the web site is:
