Great server on Fantasy??

Hi All.

Looking for suggestions for a great serving team on the Fantasy!!

Anyone have a great team that they would like to share?? I have 2 kids, 9 and 5, early seating.

Now I know, all of the servers are great
but I would like request a specific team if possible.

I know this is a very subjective topic. But our team on the Dream was clearly frazzled.
I know some are on a learning curve, blah blah. Its ok. I tipped them well for trying their best!!! They were very nice people. I just want to see if I can request an experienced team. Paying all this money for a cruise, I don't want to have to wait and ask multiple times for a drink or an extra napkin, etc. (if possible!)

We are going on the Fantasy for the first time in Aug, would also like to hear what others have to say

Last April, we had Lucianna and Ariez. They were awesome!

We are going again in 5 weeks and have requested them again.

When I was on the Fantasy in January, I had Ali (Head), Dipo (Server), and Amy (Asst. Server).

Our whole table adored them. In fact, they were the only ones to get extra tips out of us.

The Head Server made sure one of the guys at our table got Indian food one night when he wanted it. Dipo was soft-spoken, but VERY helpful. He made sure we had everything we wanted and then some. Amy, however, was the biggest reason I was so in love with this team. She was just amazing. She even makes condiment art for the kids. And when my father was feeling too sick to come down to dinner, she even made sure I brought back food for him and she wrote a lovely note on the AP drawing mat for him.

Claudia from Jamaica (she was the server, I think they change up the assistant servers). We had her in January. She was very nice, not pushy at all. We have a 3 year old and she asked right away when we wanted her food brought out and how fast. We had early seating as well. We would definitely like to have her again.

For the last 3 cruises, we've requested Sergio (from Montenegro). He's our favorite server and have requested him again for our April cruise. He's always had different assistants though. I don't know for sure, but I'm not sure you can request a "team" as they move around, but you can request the main server for sure. I may be wrong though….
But I love that we'll already know him!!
I've heard a lot of people request him as well.

Was your Ali the younger Ali (25-35years approx) or the older Ali (40/45-or maybe a bit older)?

We love the "older" Ali who was formerly on the Wonder and then the Dream.
It would be fantastic if he is on the Fantasy!!!

He was definitely older. And (I think) from Turkey.

It's easy: treat them with respect, don't be rude or demanding, and life at dinner will be wonderful.

"Our" Ali is maybe about 5'8-5'10 and has a bit stocky/muscular build??? The "other" Ali was, I believe, taller and thiner.

Thats funny- we had Dipo too when he was on the Magic right before he was switching to the Fantasy. We really liked him too- as you said, very soft spoken but very efficient!

We just got off the Fantasy March 9 th , we had Srdan/Sergio as our server & Aytug as assistant . We were extremely happy (along with pre paid tips we added more than the recommended in cash to both servers the last night along with a gift bag for each full of chocolate bars & candy ) . I think Sergio said he was leaving soon , I'm not sure of the exact date but he is back from June until Dec 15 . I suggest you call Disney add him to your request & if you can't get him my friend loves having Denis Sego , she loves him like we love Srdan/Sergio .
As far as requesting a team you can't as they are always changing ( head waiter told us this ) .

Igor and Charung ! We will request them for our Eastern Fantasy cruise in August !

Sounds like they're the same! I'd definitely describe him as stockier. I wish I had a picture of him to show you do you could tell for sure!

YEAHHHHH!!! I sounds like it is "Ali". My DD read your post first and contacted me to tell me that Ali was on the Fantasy - we're sailing on the Fantasy on April 27th. Can't wait. Ali is our most favorite dining room head ever. He definately makes sure everything is "right". On one cruise he was overseeing Palo and he stopped by our table to let us know that he remembered us from previous cruises. I sincerely hope we are blessed with him as "head" this time.

Now, if we could have Valentin from Romania as our Server we'd be in HEAVEN.

Sugar from Jamaica and Pong from Thailand were awesome. We also fell in love with Deniz from Turkey...he was partners in crime with our 19 yo son playing pranks against our servers...loved them all!!

Ummmm, no they are not. I know we all want to be nice and complimentary. But please do not assume my behavior affected my service. However, I was extremely polite, gracious, and understanding.

They just could'nt get it together. Really, Like I wanted to help them. And get my own drink and extra napkins.


Asking for a drink, and extra napkins are common requests at a dinner table.

In a formal dining atmosphere, they should be handled quite easily.

And as I stated in my OP, Im over it. ANd I didnt let it affect my cruise one bit, because I am a polite and gracious cruiser!
