Great Resort Rates on Southwest!

I was lucky enough to get in on this deal. My family and I are staying at BWV in a 1 bedroom from Aug 21-31. Does anyone know when I can add the other names of the people in my party to the reservation?

I'm being super cautious too though. I booked the Poly with the AP room only rate in DH's name just in case something happens with this. I'll feel more secure about the cheap rate in a few weeks.

I booked on Tues evening and the charge is still pending my cc. I am not worried since Discover usually takes a few days for new purchases to appear and the amount has already been deducted from the credit line. I am totally stoked I got in on this deal for 2 nights prior to our FD ressie!!

Congratz, may I ask you the dates that you are going, I am not having any luck like the rest of you guys!

I booked 13 nights 8/15-8/28 for the rate of $118. /night + tax. I also booked one night on 8/14 as a separate reservation for about $205 because if I would have booked one reservation for 14 nights (8/14-8/28), my price went up by about $1600 since my "average price per night" increased greatly. I'm not sure how that works but by splitting 1 night + 13 nights I got a great rate!

So....doesn't Orbitz have a price guarantee? Shouldn't a bunch of people be getting "checks" for the difference you guys paid and they paid? How does that work?

Just booked 5 nights at POFQ ($74/nights f/my mom to come for a few days while we are there...which means we get to go out for a few hours kid-free!

I also booked a $152 flight fr/pit to mco on southwest just before the sale ended at 11:59pm. Woot!

yeah I just saw that, I have a vacation booked for Sept 19-25th free DP for ,me and my son at the Pop, and then another vacation for December 12th-25th with the 40%pin. I have never gone to Disney world without the dinner plan, I am not sure if I can hit the big world without it! Thanks and enjoy your vacation!

The dates are all within the time frame of Aug. 15-Oct. 2 (value season at disney). Not all of those dates may be available for either of the resorts, but that is just the general time frame. You won't find the low rate outside that time, at least not that I have heard or seen.

I just checked travelocity 9/11-9/18 and both CBR and POFQ showed up as $74 average. If you click on "select hotel" on one of those two and then click the "flexible dates" tab you can see a calendar with all of the prices listed there, so it's easy to see when exactly the low rates are. That should help you with finding the best dates.

My dates are for the end of August, I'm cancelling my free dining since we don't need the 2 day tickets that you have to purchase with the package and we will eat outside of disney since we will have a rental car anyhow.

I read about this late Monday evening (22nd) and thought I would check out SW rates for Sept 10th at SSR since we would like to go a day earlier than our SSR reservation (via RCI) for 11-18 Sept. I got a rate of 199.81 (226.79 total) for a night in a 2 br at SSR. Amazing.

I booked through Orbitz and asked to make a room request. They put me on hold while they called Disney. I waited a few minutes, then they got back on the line and said they talked to Disney and the room request had been made.

I just found this thread. I put in my dates at both the southwest site and orbitz site using the DEALPRO10 for obitz for Aug. 17-24 and I got rates that were identical to Disney's 40% off promo. Am I doing something wrong? Please correct me and help me if you can. Thanks in advance.

You're not doing anything wrong--it is just that the rates aren't available anymore. They were only up for about 18 hours or something like that.

Now it is just 40%.

Just to tease those of us who missed this, Kayak was still showing the discounted rates yesterday. Of course, once it went to orbitz, the rates weren't available.
