Great Rate At POR - and a POR Question!

How’s this for a POR rate - $650 for three nights, last week of April.

Sounds too high? Well, this price also includes roundtrip airfare for two from BWI, and a mid-sized rental car for the three days.

Not too bad!

So – to all of you on the boards that have stayed at POR, I have a question. What building would you recommend? We are looking for someplace quiet, and being close to either bus stops or pools is not important. Any other suggestions on what we should look for when we get there?

My daughter and I always request a room farthest from the main building because we enjoy the short walk with all the scenery (beautiful landscaping, little animals, etc). On our last trip we stayed in Alligator Bayou (building 37 or 38). We felt like we were on the edge of the woods......quiet....beautiful.....lush plants.

No matter where you choose, you're gonna love this resort!

I agree with Linda AB is your best bet and since the are 4 bus stopps at the resort you're never very far from one. The grounds are lovely and I'm sure you'll be pleased.

My boyfriend & I just returned yesterday from POR. We loved it. We were a bit concerned when we arrived because there was a cheerleading tournament going on and the place was loaded with high school cheerleaders who were staying on the mansion side which I had requested. They put us in the Parterre mansion and it was quiet as could be. Very peaceful, very pretty, and a lovely 5 minute walk to the bus stop, pool, or lobby area.
