Just a head's up to those who might be interested that "It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" will only be available to watch on AppleTV+ this year.

Last year PBS was able to show it, but they aren't going to be doing that this year.

It will be available to stream for free on AppleTV+ on October 28-31.

Yep, I own all the Peanuts holiday specials-thanks for the reminder though. Also anyone who is a Peanuts fan should visit the Charles M Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa, CA. It's a great little museum, we've been there three times- I would happily volunteer there if I lived closer!

That's a great idea to just buy a copy!! I've noticed that it's going in and out of stock at Amazon so lots of people seem to have the same idea!
There's one that has all the holiday shows. My daughter is a huge Peanuts fan so we watch them with each holiday.

I am a huge fan of Peanuts the comic strip, but never got into the animated Charlie Brown specials.
Big Charles Schulz fan too, but again I like HIS work, not that of some TV animators. Had a great time touring the Charles Schulz museum in Santa Rosa.

Bah. And I can’t find my DVD, I’ll have to buy a digital copy.

This and the Peanuts Christmas special put me in such a great place, with the understated, watercolor backdrops, jazz score, and the natural voices of the kids. Has a nostalgia to it that easily takes me back to childhood. So much kids stuff on TV now is noisy and bland.

I'm not sure you can buy a digital copy, it's not available on Amazon anyway. I think AppleTV+ is the only place it can be watched.

Check your local library, I know my library has copies of it.

Hopefully some of the DVD copies come with a digital code?
I might just opt for a Apple TV trial just for one viewing,

My favorite part was always the teacher talking….wah wah wah wah wah. That’s how some of them sounded in real life when I was in school and daydreaming as a kid. Otherwise Charlie Brown was just too depressing and mopey.

I bought my dad the Peanuts holiday collection on DVD last year after we had a terrible time finding them on streaming. I've come to realize that certain things, you just need to own a hard copy.

Amazon has plenty of copies in DVD, Blu Ray and 4K content. Strange thing is the 4K with Blu Ray bundle was the least expensive at $28.95 so just now I grabbed one while they are still available. I really do not know why it's no longer on TV. Strange times we live in.
