Just put in my dates for RPR and it is the same price for four nights as it is for three - £488.
It's only £584 for Portofino which I think is excellent. As good as the price is though I've read it is quite quiet there and I think my boys would be more suited to one of the other more lively resorts.

What dates?
£488 for 4 nights = $195/nt doesn't sound that cheap to me, paid $152+ tax last August.

Hi Wayne :)

I've booked from 8th - 11th October.
Wasn't that rate you got last August through a glitch? I know they come up from time to time and if I hadn't seen this price today I probably would have waited, but when I saw this I didn't want to risk it. I think £122 a night for RPR is a fantastic price even in low season.

I've also booked one night at Lake Eve Resort (7th Oct) in a two bedroom condo for £56 and five nights in a one bedroon suite at the Buena Vista Palace for £500 (which has today gone up to £616).

I'm happy with these prices and love to feel like I've had a bit of a bargain ;) I just need to keep my eyes peeled for carhire now.

It was but full rate was not much more, Oct I would expect less than $195/night but far too early to know. Only problem with booking via TR is you are tied to them, only way to get out of the rate is pay 20% cancellation. Booking direct or some other companies you can cancel(or apply lower rates) for no fee.
You might be right to book at that rate, I hope you are but personally I wouldn't so book far in advance, a lot of time for offers & errors between now and then.

Just checked, rates when I got the glitch at $152 were AP rate $159, full rate $175.
2 months later in the Oct last year AP rates $134 or Super saver rates from $125
You can't really go on previous years though, you might have the best rate already.

Anyone got a link as I cannot find on this website universal hotels as I would like to check prices for July 2012. Thanks.

Hi was wondering if Wayne you could tell me when is around the best time to book 3 nights from the 25th of September next yr I haven't booked my flights yet but I have booked the 15 nights SSR after you suggested the delux villa resort with DDP etc :) I'm not sure wether it would be cheaper and best to stay in a cheap I-drive hotel 1st night of stay depending on flights as I don't want to spend a ton on a hotel for the night I get there if the flights are late in, then we will want 3 days at 1 of the universal hotels so we cn get front of line passes and early entry to WWHP, My oldest son has ASD so we will get some sort of GAC card but I want to be able to stay right next door to get into the Harry rides early!! Anyways I read on here that military get discount even UK so We should get that but just wanted to know when was best to book????? Sorry for long post!

There is no set time to book, if you are looking for a deal with a UK agent you have to book when you see a deal. If booking direct you can book anytime you want, if you see a lower rate or a discount it can be applied for no fee. Most people book direct.
There are threads on the Universal resort forum which give rates from previous years to give you an idea what you whould be paying.
