Can someone post some very good, reasonably price offsite restaurants since we also like to eat offsite during our trips. Please give reviews if possible.

Our favorite off site restaurant is Bahama Breeze. We love the place. We usually eat on site but venture off site almost every trip to go to Bahama Breeze. There is quited a variety on the menu. Many items can be ordered as whole or half orders. The smaller is more than enough for me. I love the salmon over pasta. There drink menu is a book. I love the ultimate pina colada. DH likes many things there. My vegetarian son even liked the place.

There are 2 in the area.

They have a Bahama Breeze in Orlando? Wow, didn't know that. Just ate there yesterday in Oklahoma City. Wasn't aware they were all over the country.

Bahama breeze--YUMMY--we have 0ne here in the at1--5 I think--

I n0ticed that the f00d their was spicer there than at h0me--but was sti11 g00d!!

Bahama Breeze used to be one of my favorites in Orlando but then I found so many other good restaurants and I did not have the horrendeous wait. Last time I went the service was not good. My food came out AFTER eveyone at my table was three quarters finished. Then they did not get it right. They did comp me the meal but I did not feel like eating it at that point anyway. I know places can have a bad day but this was the push I needed to try some other places. I now go to Samba Room, Timpani, Ruth Criss, and Season's 52 on Sand Lake Rd.

Pebbles is a great place to eat, located in Lake Buena Vista. The food is excellent there. It's way better than Bahama Breeze. They also have a Entertainment book discount coupon too.

For the best steaks try Charley's Steakhouse. (a little pricey but definitely worth it)

I'm with you, Bella. The restaurants on West Sand Lake Road are terrific. Not a clinker in the bunch. Next time we're in Orlando, DH and I want to try Roy's. I've heard many great things about it. It originated in Hawaii, BTW.

Also, for the Bahama Breeze fans, (I'm not really one of them, it was OK in my book), there are two BB's in Orlando. In addition to the Lake Buena Vista one already mentioned, there is a second location on International Drive.

civileng68,

Fishbones (not to be confused with Bonefish Grille) gets my vote... they are only open for dinner, and are not cheap, but worth every penny of it!!!

I have read here that Sweet Tomatoes is great! Anyone know where it is? I wrote it down but now I cant find it!

LauraAnn,
The Sweet Tomatoes at the corner of International Drive and Kirkman Road is the closest location to the attractions. And you're right...they're great!

Sonny's was great so good, however if anyone has any other suggestions for rib joints i would love to hear them, you know i would need to eat there and compare both

Sweet Tomatoes is good, but it's a chain buffet restaurant (just so you know what you're getting into) :)

They have SPECTACULAR Blueberry muffins and cornbread with honeybutter - great soups (really, really great soups) and pretty good salads. We don't care for the pastas there, but the baked potatoes (over by the soups, usually) are really good.

The golden corral was AWFUL when we went. We also tried an Italian place that was very pretty inside and the food was great, but a little pricey, if I recall.

In all honesty, we try to avoid chains when we go on vacation - anything we can get at home, we don't usually buy out of town. BUT - it does have its place.

There are soooo many restaurants and chain restaurants, especially, to pick from in the area. You'll be hard pressed to not find something reasonable to eat (IHOP, Cracker Barrel, etc).

We also really liked the Taco Bell - the beans they use actually contain REAL beans - seasoned a little spicier than they do up here in the midwest - and we looooved them :) I know, goofy - and uber-chain, but it left an impression on me and we found ourselves craving it on our last trip :)

Bubbalou's Bodacious Bar*B*Que is absolutely the best! They've even been featured on The Best Of on the Food Network. Best. Ribs. Ever!
