It appears to be that the Tower of Terror will be built in California Adventure. The president of the Disneyland Resort told the press that the ride has been very successful in Walt Disney World. No date for construction has been set.

Also I'd like to share some tips about the Disneyland Resort for all you people leaving for the resort soon. I was at the resort in June and here is what I have observed while I was there for a four-day stay.

Disneyland Resort/Downtown Disney
Downtown Disney is located between the two parks. There are many great stores here and fine dining, but nothing for real cheap (at least food wise). The monorail is only available for hotel guests but it looks real neat under its gigantic leaf canopy. There is also a mini Mickey sorceror's hat at the far end of Downtown Disney near the Disneyland Hotel. If you have time, I would reccomend checking out the Grand Californian Hotel, even though I did not myself.

Disney's California Adventure
Get to the park at least 0.5 hours before the opening. You will be able to ride Soarin' Over California w/o a fast pass. Rides to go on at least twice (these rides will probably need fast passes as well as Mulholland Madness):

Soarin' over California
California Screamin'
Grizzly River Run
Who Wants to Be a Millionaire

You will not need to get a spot for the Eureka parade, you can see that almost wherever you are as long as you are outside.
Do not go to the first show inside of the Hyperion theater, you should do other popular rides at this time or you can go to Disney Animation.
Save the Hollywood Backstage Lot for later in the day and head to Paridise Pier after riding Grizzly River Run at the opening of the park.
Be aware that there are many shows.
Ride the rockets before they close down due to "high winds".
Watch some of the night shows and parades if available.

I will include Disneyland soon. Hope this helps.

I just want to agree with everything he said, except a minor correction about the monorail. I rode it on Friday, getting on at Downtown Disney, taking me to DL (Tomorrowland) and I was not a hotel guest. I just needed to show a valid ticket to DL to ride it. Then if you want to ride it all the way back to Downtown Disney you have to get off at DL and get back in line for a trip taking you through DCA and back to Downtown Disney.

Again, if you happen to be going to DCA sometime in the future and want to ride Soarin', do it 1st thing in the morning - this is my fave attraction in the whole park and is just amazing. But the crowds build so fast because it is located so close to the entrance. On Friday I left DL at 10 (DCA park opening) and was at Soarin at 10:15, and the line was already 70 minutes long!

Thanks for the update about ToT - I have heard so many conflicting stories about whether it will be built or not.

:)

Im getting SOOO excited!!1

only 11 days!! :D :D

thanks for the info Matt and Carrie!

Thanks for the info! Tower of Terror is my favorite ride at Disney World! Now i'll get to go on it all the time!!!!

The whole left side of the park is a really uncrowded for the first two hours of the day. Try to avoid Tommorowland. I don't know much else to say. Only go on Autopia if you use fast pass. I've never been on the Matterhorn or Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin.

Matterhorn is the coolest!! :smooth:

yeah 2morrowland is SOO packed...Ill have tons more tips when I get back about 9 days!! :)
