Great Movie Endings

I can't remember where I read about it (or maybe I even just saw it on the special features) but that scene was actually added in. The final scene was supposed to be the scene where Red is on the bus saying he hopes he sees his friend again. When the studio executives got it back, they told them that you can't add 30 minutes to a movie where it's all about Red trying to get to Mexico but then not show him getting there. So, they added it in.

Never saw it, but I did read the original Stephen King story. Yeah - that's where the story ends.

Bridge on the River Kwai - The entire last set piece is amazing, something you will never see again in a world of CGI.
Silence of the Lambs - The last line is fantastic!
Cinema Paradiso - Impossible to not tear up at the ending.
Se7en - What's in the box!?!?!

And, for something wild, there is a movie called Dead or Alive from Japanese director Takeshi Miike. The film itself is kind of tough to get through, but the last 10 minutes is one of the most bonkers piece of cinema I have ever seen. In fact, you really don't even need to watch the movie, just watch that last 10 minutes.
