Spoodles used to be one of our favorite restaurants, but a few years ago it became very bland. After several bad meals we just stopped going! We decided to give it another try today, and boy are we glad we did!
DH and I shared a Greek salad - lots of tomatoes, feta cheese, delicious dressing. Would have liked a bit more greens but it was a very nice starter.
A nice chewy bread was served with a bowl of olive oil to dip it in- yum!
DH had the chef's special of a braised beef over polenta - the beef was so tender he didn't need a knife, and he loved the cheesy/buttery polenta.
I had another chef's special, lobster ravioli in a creamy, lightly lemony sauce with shrimp. It was wonderful!
We shared a pitcher of fruity sangria.
We were so full we had to skip dessert.
We commented to our wonderful server MaryAnn how impressed we were with the improvements, and she mentioned our comments to the head chef, who came out to talk with us. Thank you, Chef Tony, for bringing Spoodles back to the top of our list again!
We'll be back!!!!!
