I need information or ideas on fundraisers for a Senior Disney Trip. Any advice would be a gem.

Thanks in advance.

Our local boy scout troop has a fantastic fundraiser. They get a dumpster from the county and then advertise that they will come and get a truckload (pickup) of trash from you. It's 100% profit, they have to put some sweat equity into the project and it really helps the community. (they charge 35 dollars a load)

The pizza/junk food fundraisers work great, but are absolutely overdone. We are currently selling flower bulbs. One fundraiser that our preschool did that was very easy was a hopathon...maybe you can adapt that for high school kids.

I like that one. I am trying to set up meeting with local grocery stores. Many in the area participate in programs that allow students to work in Floral Shops and do other things in their stores. Instead of getting a paycheck, that money is donated toward the balance of the trip. The only down side is that the grocers will not be able to accommodate all 40 of the students, so it looks like I might have to choose the more "needy" students to participate. The teacher who had this assignment last year (normally goes to both New York and DC) is supposed to send me that information to keep that fundraiser going (she moved to another District). Although she NEVER took more than 20 students at a time, the students that participate might spend 2 or 3 times working a month and get enough to almost cover the whole trip – over 6 months. Their trip last year was $650 - not bad for both New York and DC. IMO, Disney under $500 is a great price too!!!

There is a whole message board dedicated to fundraisers here . These people are experts and have a ton of information on companies and types of fundraisers--you can avoid the overdown things, ie, cookie dough
