Just wanted to let everyone know we used Lorden Transportation for our trip last week. Excellent service! Dennis is the owner. We flew on a charter plane- my husband is an aircraft mechanic- to Kissimmee Airport. Ian was our driver on the way to AKL- we were 30 minutes late. He was there waiting with a smile on his face. No problem was his response to us being late. When the day for us to leave arrived- Dennis was also there and waiting with a smile. Both trips had booster and car seat as requested. Both were friendly and safe drivers. We were thrilled everything went so smoothly!

what was the cost and what rooms did yo stay in at AL. We go in a week and a half

The cost of the towncar was $90 round trip- about the same as other quotes I got from people. Dennis- the owner- used to be a driver for Rabbit when he owned Your ride and now he has started his own company.
We had rooms 3451 and 3455 at AKL- good view and not long walks to bus or Mara. I'll post a report about our AKL experience soon. We liked it- but weren't in love with it as others were. We also had a nightmare at check-in. I'm at work but will post a report on this soon.

I look forward to hearing about your stay. We were switched to AKL and am unsure about the rooms. We have 4 and I am leary about us not being together.

We had 3 rooms, were assured we would be together, and were not. We had requested 2 connecting rooms- did not get that either. The main problems we had were at check-in. I called and was told we would have our 3 rooms ready at 11:00- no problem. Got there at 11:30- no rooms. My mother has a disability- which we told them at least 5 times on 5 different phone callls and we were assured a room near the lobby. Got there and they had placed us at the end of a trail. I got upset and they moved us. They told us that no 3 rooms together were available in the resort. Two of our rooms had a room in-between- which strangely someone moved in two hours after us- and the third was at the end of a trail. The process of getting in our rooms took 4 hours after we arrived at 11:30- about 3:30 or 4:00. I realize official check-in is 3:00, but we called and requested early check-in which begins at 11:00 and ewre told no problem. The guy checking us in- Jesus- kept going to the back and suddenly rooms would be available. He also tried to tell me zebra were on every savannah and then got upset when I told him they weren't and another cast member corrected him. Two of our rooms were close to the lobby- good for my mother. But check-in was a complete nightmare. Had I not done my research and known about the resort, we would have been stuck at the end of a trail and my mother can not walk this far. Anyway, the service after the first day was excellent. We liked the resort OK. We were upgraded from POFQ so did not pay full price. We just don't stay in the resort enough to enjoy the extras of a deluxe- we are in the parks all day. I would have been upset if we had paid full price. The rooms were not much larger than the moderates. All in all, I'm very glad we got the opportunity to stay here and experience it. It was neat to see animals outside your room. It was a neat experience. Most people on these boards love this resort, and I didn't not like it. But for my family, we will be returning to the moderates. We just wouldn't get the money's worth out of it. As far as your rooms being together, I don't know what to tell you. We even called the day before to confirm everything. I suggest getting there as soon as you can because there were so many people checking in at 11:00 - I'm afraid had we not been there we really would have been stuck at the end of a trail. Good luck and enjoy your stay!
