Great deals at Toys R Us this week!

There are several games (Candy Land, Chutes & Ladders, etc.) on sale for $3.99. There are also rebates. I bought 5 games for a total of $21. I will be able to get $10 in rebates. So total cost to me is $11. We no longer have children the ages for the games so they will all go to holiday donation.

You can also get a gift card for $10 if you spend $75 - certain restrictions apply of course! Dh & I bought ds' birthday presents last week, spent just over that and got $10 back - which needs to be used by the end of the year.

Thanks for the reminder. I saw this in the ad and promptly forgot about it. Did you also see that if you spent $25 on Hasbro games you got a $10 gift card? going to get a bunch of the $4 games for toy drives and will get the $10 gift card.

I just saw this in the paper this evening. I'm heading there tomorrow to get some games as Christmas gifts for my friends kids. Plus if you mail in the rebate, those games will only cost you $1.99.. Can't beat that price!!! I also like donating those for Toys for Tots charity.

Please don't forget the older kids when you shop- I have been working for a childrens charity for many years now and the older kids are usually left out- we end up with so many candy lands and chutes and ladders we can't give those things away! Before starting to work there I always bought those too- now that I see what goes on and anyone asks me what to donate I usually reply anything BUT candyland and chutes and ladders LOL....

I second this. I do a large charity at Christmas for local children and we too get far too many games and toys for toddlers and elementary school age children. I know that the games for older kids cost more but that is what is really needed so if you can afford it... some of the things the tween set seem to like is the "Scene It" games, Pictionary, Trivial Pursuit, that sort of thing and they don't come cheap

Also, nice leather gloves, the latest CDs, inexpensive digital cameras, movie gift certificates and movies, these all go over well with the older kids.

And, thanks for anything that you can do, everything is appreciated!

Bath and body works also are big with the older kids! We have people that donate those and the teen make up type kits are great!
