Just got back from a week and a half at Disney World. I had read about the outlet stores on these boards, but had these stupid notions in my head that the souveniers wouldn't mean as much if I got them at a Discount store rather than in the parks. BOY WAS I WRONG!

I got a few things here and there at stores in the parks, but on one of our days away from the parks, we decided to just check out these outlet stores to see what they were all about. I hit both of the stores at Belz & the one at Premium Outlet too! Actually, we went back to all three a second time on the day we started for home, and I remembered someone saying something about one at St. Augustine, so while we were driving through I had DH pull off at the exit of the Belz outlet, and by golly there was a great one there too!

When all was said and done I spent $74 on clothing that would have cost $269 in the parks. All had Walt Disney World tags, and most of it I had seen in the park shops. For that $74 I got 4 sweatshirts (most marked between $40-$69 originally) a t-shirt and a long sleeved cotton shirt! I also got several little knick knacks, photo frames, a key chain, magnets.....etc. I seriously thought about getting one of the Mickey snowman that you can get at the Marketplace for twenty some dollars marked down to $11, but I didn't see this until the St. Augustine store and I was running out of $$$

Oh, DH loved these places too. He normally wears the golf type shirts (collar, three buttons, short sleeve) but all of these type shirts in the park stores were in the $30-$40 price range. He bought 2 2x shirts (one with goofy and one with Mickey) for $12.00 each.

Now I can't wait until the Fall, so I can wear my new sweatshirts!

Can you tell us where the one in St. Augustines is? We went to one Outlet and it was awesome, and can not remember where it was. I for sure know it wasn't at the outlets that were very close to WDW.
Thanks in advance
Laura and Leslie

The one in St. Augustine was in the Belz Outlet just off of I-95. As you are headed north it was on the right hand side of I-95. Once you enter the mall it is very close to the food court.

Is this the one on East or West side of Interstate? I am assuming it is the furthestmost northern exit ? One before World Golf Village?

(I don't know why I'm worried-we won't have any $$ left by the time we get there!)

There are two outlet malls in St. Augustine. One is an opened air mall and one is enclosed. If you are heading south, the opened air is on the right and the enclosed is on the left. I like the opened air one better and think the deals are a little better at this one. There is also an outlet mall in Darien, Ga. I think the prices there are little cheaper then the ones in St. Augustine. It has been a few months since I have been to the one in St. Augustine. Is it a Disney Store outlet?

jgates - Save some $$ for this one, I sure wish I would have had more.....the seemed to have the most variety.....probably just from less shoppers....or better yet, stop here on your way down!

It's on the East side of the Interstate - sorry don't remember the exit number, but it's in the BELZ outlet which was pretty clearly marked with signs around it and once you got off the exit

It is the one that is an indoor mall and the store is a Character Warehouse (or Premier) I forget which, but it's just like the ones in Orlando.....

Thanks for the tip on the St. Augustine outlet! The character outlets are usually our first stop when we reach Orlando, even before cheecking in.

Ditto to what bobcat said! St. Augustine might be a good place for a pit stop for us. By the time we get to Belz in Orlando, outlet shopping is not what's on our minds!

BTW, we got some great stuff last year at the Orlando Belz stores as we left WDW.

Can you give directions to the one in Darien, GA? I am going to Jeckyll Island in a few weeks and will be traveling very close to Darien. Also, does anyone know what kind of selection they might have?
