Two weeks ago, I was able to book a fullsize for 13 days (7/8 - 7/21) for $346 including all taxes and fees from Thrifty. I also had a minivan reserved through Advantage for $466 total. On the plane we decided to save the $120 and go with the fullsize. There are 5 of us with 4 bags and carryons. When I got to the garage there were minivans in the fullsize aisle. I was told at the counter to pick any car in the fullsize aisle. I asked the attendant in the garage if that meant I could take a minivan and he said I could.
So I got a minivan for 13 days for a grand total of $346
Couple that with the very nice room we got at the Country Inn and Suites right near the airport for the night for $30 thru Priceline (which includes breakfast for 5) and this vacation is off to a great start.
