Great deal for a Budget Rental

Thanks to everyone for the codes for Budget - BCD X474200 and Coupon code - MUWZ023. I got a mini van for 1 week in July (15-22) for $298.13 and hopefully $273.13 once the coupon goes through.

I used those same codes Wednesday and got a mini-van for $409 for 9 days (before the coupon is applied, as I understand it). Without that BCD code, the same van was $722 before taxes and fees.

The code is a travelocity code. The coupon is an e-coupon from Budget's site.

I was told you don't need to show anything.

If you make the reservation with the coupon, does the $30 come off when you return the car and pay for it? I noticed that it was not applied at reservation time. Do I need to remind them or is it automatic?

Yes, the coupon will finally show up when the attendant prints the receipt when you return the car. I was a bit concerned about this but all went well when we returned the car 2/12/2010.

So when you bring the car back the print a receipt with the 30 dollar coupon, where do you go to get the 30 dollars, or is it just good toward another rental.

Even with that code and coupon, the cost(driving away!)I got when I first booked last August is better @ $269 total for a full size car for 10 days in July!

1) Is Budget right in the terminal?
2) Does Budget charge for second driver (DH)?
3) Does Budget have the kiosks like Alamo (we love the kiosk and not waiting in long rental lines)
4) Does Budget typically have long rental lines?
5) Do you choose your own car in the parking lot like you do with Alamo?
6) Are all the cars for Budget non-smoking?

These may mean the difference between renting from Budget or Alamo (I have a Costco code for Alamo for a full size car for $295 that includes second driver for no extra fee, and a tollpass). The only difference is the Alamo price already includes the coupon, so because the tollpass costs $10, the Budget rental will end up being about $20 cheaper if the second driver is free.

You might want to call and ask about this.4) Does Budget typically have long rental lines? Sorry-can't help-I'm sure like the other rental car desks, a lot depends on the time of day, year,etc
