We went to the annual Riverbend Festival's Faith & Family night last night. The headliners were FFH and Audio Adrenaline. The show was great!!!!! We had a blast. Probably the last time Audio Adrenaline will play in Chattanooga as they are on their farewell tour, lead singer said his vocal cords can't take much more and you could tell he was struggling a bit. Sang lots of favorites! The weather was awesome! The kids had a blast but were worn completely out as we were there from about 6:20 PM until 11:30 PM.

If you get a chance to see Audio this year, do so, it's their last tour. Their last project will be out in a few weeks, it's a greatest hits project title Audio Adrenaline - Adios

Have you been to Cornerstone? You might enjoy that. I was offered tickets to Cornerstone Orlando a month or two ago, but declined, there just wasn't anyone playing that I was remotely interested in.

Audio Adrenaline will be here in Knoxville on Friday night for a free concert on Market Square. I'm not sure what our family weekend plans are, so I might or might not get to be here to see them.

Is it a big music festival? I've never heard of it.

They have AtlantaFest every summer in this area, usually at Six Flags over Georgia, it features CCM groups throughout 4 days. We have never been but have considered it several times.

If you can get there, go see them! They did lots of old favorites plus lead some great praise and worship. A couple of the other guys lead some of the songs as the lead singer was having a hard time with his voice. They have been touring for 16 years now. This was the only the second time I've seen them.

Have a great time if you go!!!!!!

I  Audio Adrenaline. I'm so sad this is its last tour. :(

I missed the last AA show in the D/FW area. It seems like alot of great bands are breaking up. Thankfully there are plenty coming up to fill those spots.

darren

Must have been a good night for great concerts - I saw one last night too and i had an absolute blast!! Best time i had in a long time at a concert!!

Probably the last time Audio Adrenaline will play in Chattanooga as they are on their farewell tour, lead singer said his vocal cords can't take much more and you could tell he was struggling a bit.

:( Poor guy. I'm sorry to see them go. :(

Below is the official release date as posted on AA's web site as well as below that the official statement released earlier about this being the bands last tour. I hadn't heard it until they were interviewing them yesterday on our local station J103, which you can listen to BTW at www.j103.com

Adios To Release on August 1st
As announced earlier this year, 2006 will mark the final chapter in the Audio Adrenaline history books. But fear not! Mark, Will, Ben and Tyler aren't going anywhere before releasing Adios, a greatest hits collection slated to hit a store near you on August 1, 2006.
With plans for Adios in its initial stages, fans can anticipate a commemorative look at the expansive career of Audio Adrenaline through the band's greatest hits along with two newly recorded songs. A special edition Adios package is slated to include a DVD containing all Audio Adrenaline videos, live performance footage and new band interviews. This package will also feature interviews from artists impacted by Audio Adrenaline, including tobyMac and Steven Curtis Chapman, as well as members of MercyMe, Pillar, Relient K and Newsboys, each talking about their shared tour experiences and favorite memories of Audio Adrenaline.
"The plans emerging for Adios promise to deliver a fun and poignant experience in which Audio Adrenaline fans can participate," says York. "The legacy of Audio Adrenaline is one that will continue to make impact for many years to come."
Stay tuned to AudioA.COM as more details about Adios are unveiled!
Audio Adrenaline Says "Adios"...
After Three Million Albums Sold, 18 No. 1 Radio Hits, GRAMMY/Dove Trophies, 15-Years of Sold Out Concerts, AudioA Prepares 2006 Farewell Album, Live Events
Nashville, Tenn., (January 18, 2006) – One of the industries top bands, Audio Adrenaline announces that it will add a final chapter to its substantial career with Adios, slated to release later this year. After 15-years of music and mission, Audio Adrenaline is choosing to say "adios," offering one more nod to its considerable fan base with the album and select live events.
After years of giving his all on stage and in the studio, Audio Adrenaline frontman Mark Stuart is experiencing ongoing vocal challenges. After consulting with doctors, it is clear the toll his voice has taken will prevent his ability to continue a consistent live performance schedule.
"Fifteen years of rock 'n' roll takes a toll on the vocal chords, but I wouldn't trade a day of it for anything," says Stuart. "Touring and making records with Will, Ben and Tyler has truly been a gift from God, as well as worshiping night after night with the greatest fans on the planet."
"As one of the most successful and longest running bands in Christian music, Audio Adrenaline has made tremendous impact in the lives of their loyal listeners," says Peter York, EMI CMG Label Group president. "They have also been a strong influence and positive role model for many of today's emerging bands. It has been EMI CMG's privilege to partner with Audio Adrenaline and to support their music and ministry throughout their entire career."
Audio Adrenaline recently completed its successful fall Until My Heart Caves In tour in support of its critically acclaimed, 2006 GRAMMY nominated and ninth studio album of the same name. As one of today's top touring attractions, known for members' explosiveness and energetic outpourings, coupled with state of the art production, the band is currently preparing its final touring schedule that will give fans the opportunity to see one of today's most successful rock bands one last time. In addition to select dates throughout the year, the tour will route them through the major summer festivals in 2006.
"Audio Adrenaline has been a favorite over the years and remains one of our top concert draws," says Tim Landis, Creation Festival producer. "On the cutting edge musically, the band found their audience early and became a consistent headliner for Creation Festival. We are excited about having them one last time this summer, as it's sure to be a memorable experience in this band's remarkable history. AudioA is truly one of the great bands of our day."
Since 1991, Audio Adrenaline has taken a full throttled blast of musical passion, melded it with a compassionate desire to impact the world at large and added members' rock-solid grounding in reality with their vulnerable, no holds barred songwriting. Thanks to earnest performances and undying appreciation for its fans, the group has sold over three million records and racked up 18 No. 1 singles. The band's Bloom recording was certified Gold by the RIAA in 1999 and they were awarded the prestigious "Song of the Decade" crowning in the 90s for "Big House" by CCM Magazine. With a prestigious GRAMMY Award for it's 2003 recording, Worldwide, and four Dove Awards, Audio Adrenaline has consistently proved its relevance, artistry and heart.
The band is also well known for its humanitarian aid and will remain heavily involved with Flicker Records and raising funds to continue its Hands & Feet Project, a non-profit organization they formed dedicated to the health, welfare and education of orphaned children of Haiti. The organization provides the nurturing of a loving home, a viable Christian witness, and attention to the medical needs and proper education of each orphaned child taken in by the orphanage.

FFH was great too! They played for about an hour before AA. They were lots of fun, their front man is a really good pianist.

I got to see FFH live a couple of years ago when they came through our town. They've always been one of my favorite groups. And a good show, too.

I didn't know that AA was going to stop touring :(

I love FFH! They are great in concert!

ducklite - I am a HUGE CCM fan, and after skimming that list, I recognized about 10 groups, Reliant K being the most well known :confused3

I am so looking forward to July 1st!! My local Christian radio station is throwing a big "Faith, Family, and Freedom" party with a huge carnival, fireworks, and a concert by THIRD DAY!! They are so amazing and I cannot wait to see them in concert. Mac Powell has an amazing voice...

I'm actually far from a CCM fan. I recognized maybe 6-7 of the bands listed, but the only one I really like is P.O.D. Now they I LOVE! I reviewed their latest CD and gave it a full five stars. :thumbsup2

Woooo!!! Just had to quote that one! :woohoo: Aren't they amazing?! The car's CD system holds 6 CDs... five of which are almost always Third Day. I toss in something different to try to keep from appearing too obsessive, but the fact is, I could listen to Mac 24/7 and be perfectly happy! What a voice! :goodvibes

I've lived in Cleveland, TN (just outside of Chattanooga) my entire life and I've never been to Riverbend.

Blech. I won't miss AA.
