I previously had a 12/16-12/31 rental for $384 for a compact
On a lark (or as part of my travel obsessive compulsive behavoir
) I just tried carrentalsavers and got a great rate for 12/16-1/1 - this suits us better as we are departing on 1/1. Seeing that, I then went to the costco site and booked through them with the $30 off a week coupon and ended up with
12/16-1/1 mid size car for 358.64 - all taxes and fees included!
Plus on the costco you get the additional driver included.
I'm thrilled.
Not sure it will work for you christmas week people, but for those there the week before, you might want to give it a shot.
