Grease Live is on this Sunday

Actually, the stage musical (which I believe this version is meant to be closer to) was the original and the movie came second. That being said, having seen the musical I do think the movie is much better, but it's not a case of messing with the original here.

In interviews they actually said they brought elements from both. So I don't know that it is supposed to be intentionally closer to either.

I thought it wasn't a half bad effort! I enjoyed this production much better than The Sound of Music that was live. It was great seeing cameos of the original movie cast.:thumbsup2

I see at the end they acknowledged Greg Hudgins' passing away. :(

TC :cool1:

I'm super impressed. I thought they did an amazing job and blew away all of the othe live shows we've seen so far. When you remember that this is completely live. Consider the multi camera work and costume changes. What they pulled off was absolutely phenomenal.

If Vanessa's dad died this morning, his date of death is the 31st, not the 30th.
My mistake, he passed away yesterday.

Was it perfect? No.

But that was wayyyy better than NBC.

Fox just needs to work out some kinks--but I loved their idea on how to stage a live musical for television.

I liked all the behind the scenes bits. And I guess at the end, they had to do the golf carts to make it to the finale set.

But we overall enjoyed the peformance around here.

I still think the new hand jive looks lame and ridiculous.

And on those cameras, every single time they switched scenes during commerical breaks, all cameras were taken off line to move to their next assignment. Apparently that is not something ever done.

The whole thing, even with glitches was amazing.
