Gratuity added?

Does every restaurant add gratuity to tables of 8 or more?

I don't know the answer to your question, but if you do have a large group be sure to check your receipt carefully. I know someone from another board who assumed they would because it said so on the menu and didn't check the bill very carefully.

They put a little something extra on the table and apparently there was no tip added and the server chased them down, and basically threw the money at them. I guess he was insulted because of the small $$ amount left.

Although it says that they do on most menu's, we've found it to be about half and half. So always check your receipt so a server doesn't get shorted by accident.

I have 8 in my party and made 8 TS reservations.

The cast member in Disney Dining apologised that she had to read the part about "for parties of 8 or more gratuity is included" for each of the eight reservations.

I seem to remember that when you're presented with the bill, there's a little note in the folder that mentions that it's customary in the U.S. to provide a gratuity to your server and that it hasn't been added to the bill yet.
