I didn't either. What is your source for that (someone said so on DIS, or is this from Disney or at least one of the bartenders)? In fact, I've been told differently by one of the beverage serving staff, but I still wouldn't say I know for sure.

We have had some fantastic beverage servers (bartenders and baristas) over the years, and have generally rewarded them with extra tips. And have had some interesting conversations with them after a couple of cruises when they would open up.

Actually, I was told this by both a server and from Guest Services onboard. Now, whether they were lying about it or not, I couldn't say, but I like to think they were truthful.
