Grapefruit Cake from Brown Derby Inn

Is it possible to get the grapefruit cake anywhere else in the park? If not, can I order one to go? Nothing else on the menu really appeals to me, but I am DYING to try a slice of this cake!

They sell it at Starring Rolls, which is the bakery/quick service outside the Brown Derby (it is on the right as you face the front of the BD).

Why not make an ADR just for dessert? I prefer to eat TS for lunch, CS for dinner, and then once in a while, make an ADR just for dessert late in the evening. I can never manage to eat dessert with a meal, so it's nice to enjoy a sweet treat.

I hope you like this cake because I sure didn't! It is quite an acquired taste. I was looking forward to it and was sad when I didn't like it. Good luck and let us know what you think of it.

I love the cake, it's amazing. I order it every time. I'd also recommend the Cobb salad if you're looking for something else to order.

When I was there in May I went to Starring Rolls sppecifically to get a piece of grapefruit cake and was told by both CMs working there that they did not sell it. One said she had had quite a few people ask for it, but they did not sell it. She asked the other CM who also said as far as she knew it wasn't available there. I round up with a ham sandwich and a banana parfait thingy. OK, but defninitely not what I went in there for.

Love the cobb salad, but the cake and I am a cake person left me wondering why people like it, it was a bit bitter for my taste.. of course it is grapefruit so probably why it tasted bitter.

My wife and I have had the cake several times over the years and always enjoyed it.
