Grand Villas, Victoria & Albert's, Star Wars, & More! Anniversary PTR! NOW the TR!!!

Aww puppy! So Cute! Although disturbing that she rips the eyes out first in the squeaky toys! lol. So how do you pronounce Saghani? And where did the name come from?

Yay for new iPhone! I have a 4 and I'm ready to upgrade but want to wait to see when the iPhone6 is going to be out. But I may not be able to wait that long. lol. :scratchin

My guess for tomorrows movie is.....The Lion King!

Yeah, she loves to rip the stuffing out of things!

Saghani is pronounced Suh-ghahh-knee, it is an Inuit name that means Raven, when she was a baby the markings on her forehead were shaped like a bird, they kind of still are, but it is definitely harder to tell now!

Hey we're phone twins! I have a 4 also! Yeah I am patiently waiting on the next iPhone to come out too, it shouldn't be toooo much longer though. As long as my phone doesn't crap out on me, I hope to be able to hold on!

That was a good guess! Lion King is not today's movie but it is definitely in the remaining 9!! :thumbsup2

If you are not able to tell from the photos, I am pretty pale. I usually go from pale to burnt in a flash! Then when the burn goes away it doesn't tan, it just disappears! I have to be pretty religious when it comes to putting on sunscreen, even when I am...sometimes I STILL get burnt! An example is now coming your way!

We went on a Disney Cruise on the Dream in August of 2012. On our very first Castaway Cay day I took 1 lotion bottle of sunscreen for my face, and 2 spray sunscreen cans for everything else. Mind you this is just for one day! I put on sunscreen before we left the ship, again when we made it to Serenity Bay, each time after drying off from getting out of the water. Both the spray sunscreens were empty by the end of the day and the lotion one was pretty close to empty. Well...this is what I looked like that night!

_MG_6985.jpg

Which leads me to here, I am trying to figure out how often I should apply the sunscreen and how much I need to take with us for this trip. Usually I just wing it, but the older I get, the more paranoid I get about skin cancer, considering I am a cancer survivor already. I just went through all of the sunscreen I have, weeded out the expired stuff and saw what I was left with...

_MG_9707_zpsd79d8679.jpg

6 bottles of SPF50 Broad Spectrum Lotion, and 1 bottle of SPF30 Broad Spectrum Spray. I definitely need to remember to go and get some more before we leave next week! I am completely out of SPF70, which is what I normally use. Jeremy uses 30 most of the time, he is 1/4 Native American, which gave him a lovely skin tone, that hardly ever burns and only tans. So basically his is just for the skin cancer protection aspect.

Most sunscreen states it should be applied every two hours or something like that, after 80 minutes of sweating or water activity, and immediately after towel drying off.

Day 1: Car
On Thursday we will be in the car, however, for some reason the sun can find me wherever I am! Yes, I have gotten sunburned in the car before! I feel like if I put the SPF 30 lotion on in the car, that will be sufficient!

Day 2: Car and Animal Kingdom
For the first part of the day in the car, I will use the SPF 30 lotion again, I will keep it handy in case I need more, but I should only need to put it on once in the car that morning.

For arrival at Animal Kingdom, I am going to put on sunscreen on the way to the park. I may also need to put some on between 1:30-2:00. After that, I should not need anymore the rest of the day. We will be getting ready for dinner, going to dinner, then after dinner it should be dark!

Day 3: Hollywood Studios
This will be an entire day outside pretty much! Which means I need to put on sunscreen on the way to the studios and then every 2 hours while we are there! So maybe once before we arrive, once we get finished with breakfast around 9:30, probably while we are waiting on the parade, as soon as we get out of the first show, and the second show, the last time will probably be when we are waiting in line for the last show of the night! Adding all of those it will be about 6 times that day.

Day 4: DTD and Magic Kingdom
The first time on this day will be either while we are waiting on the bus/or driving to DTD. The next time will be after we are finished bowling. Next time, while we are on the way to Magic Kingdom for the parade. After that, once we are finished with afternoon tea and on our way back to MK. That may or may not be the last time, depending on whether I feel like I may need it after the 7:00 hour. So this day maybe between 4-5 times.

Day 5: Keys to the Kingdom Tour
Once while we are waiting for the tour to start or on our way to MK, The next time will probably be while eating lunch at CHH. I should not need to put anymore on the rest of the day, after the tour we are heading back over to the Grand Floridian Villas to get ready for dinner. After dinner it should be dark again, so if we decide to swim, the it won't matter.

Day 6: Going Home
Today I may put some sunscreen on after breakfast before we get to Magic Kingdom, then after that all I need to do is have it handy in the car, in case the sun is trying to get me in there!

Who makes a sunscreen schedule?? I think I may be the only one, what can I say, I am running out of things to plan for this trip! :goodvibes

:jumping1: 9 Days! :jumping1:

We have made it to the single digit countdown! Very exciting for us! I got a little more sorting done today, more stuff was definitely added to the packing table. Yesterday I actually started to pack! I put each outfit for each day together with it's coordinating accessories and Magic Band! Folded them neatly, and placed them in the suitcase! All of the accessories have their own bag, and I started accumulating any cards we will need for when we are down there!

Tonight, we are going to close out Day 9 with another Movie! It is about dinner time here and therefore I figured I would share with you guys just what that movie is for today! :happytv:

This trip we are not dressing up as any of these characters, we are not standing in any lines to see them either. My 7 year old niece is having a birthday party with the theme from this movie. My mom and sister waited in line forever to buy her a dress from it. I bet my niece is not alone. People everywhere are in love with this movie. I definitely agree that it is a great movie...the soundtrack is amazing...we listen to it quite often actually. Although it is not my favorite Disney movie, I would say it ranks in the Top 20. Ladies and Gentlemen...I give you...Frozen.

Every time I see anything about Gossip Girl now, I can't help that think Anna is Gossip Girl...:rotfl::lmao::rotfl2:

Yikes on the burning! Thats just is just so annoying and inconvenient! We went to a baseball game this weekend and even though I sunscreened up I somehow got a sun on the left side of my neck/chest. Argh!

So it looks like you are a Coppertone fan! Do you find them the best? Just thinking about what I should stock up on when we go(DBF has to be very careful in the sun himself now). I almost think lotion is better, less greasy then sprays right?

Yay for packing!! And for Frozen! We actually haven't watched it since we saw it in the theatre. Not sure why, we need to get on that!

Have you ever seen Veronica Mars? That's where I fell in love with Kristen Bell, it was an excellent tv series, I highly recommend it! (Don't watch the movie until after the series though)

Wait a second........... baseball too! I'm starting to think that the 2 of you are actually the Canadian version of us. First it's Disney, then it was WoW and now it's baseball. What Next !

Baseball game! Fun! Sorry about the sunburn, they are totally not fun at all!! And make me really angry when I feel like I do everything I can to prevent them...:furious:

I pretty much only use Coppertone, I have also used Aveeno, it tends to leave a buildup on my skin though. The new Coppertone Spray is pretty awesome, that one in the pic, the sheer one! It is not greasy/oily at all, and leaves your skin pretty soft to boot! I will definitely be picking up some more of it before we go!

I have not seen Veronica Mars, I will definitely have to check it out! I wonder if it is on Netflix? Hmm...thanks for the recommendation!! Curious now! :happytv:

My thoughts exactly...:rotfl2:

I will take that as a wonderful compliment cause you guys are awesome!

lol! But actually the tickets were free from DBF's company. But we had a great time. Baseball games are just nice and so much more relaxing/enjoyable then basketball or hockey when you are actually there. We also had to leave early as we were going to a boardgaming social(which was awesome!)

Oh boy, I wish the DBF was as into Disney as you are! But I'll take what I can get!

I will make sure to note to get the Coppertone Spray! Thanks for the tip! I just hate feeling yucky after putting sunscreen on!

I know the Veronica Mars is on netflix in Canada but I hear its very different then the US. if you like smart and sassy you'll enjoy it! ::yes::

No problem! I need to make sure I go and buy a few more bottles of that Coppertone Sheer myself, maybe a ton the way I burn...LOL :rotfl2:

It is not on US Netflix, however, it IS on Amazon Prime Instant Video, which is good! That means I can watch it! :happytv:

Since I gave you 4 different puppy posts, I figured I should go ahead and give you a birdie post too! I have had Rojo, the Mexican Redhead, for a really long time. I think maybe since I was in 4th grade?

_MG_9711_zpsf0906790.jpg

My dad got him from a lady back then, whose house was so dark and full of smoke, when we went in, we could barely even see him, he was in pretty bad shape, but she wanted rid of him, so we got him! When my Mom and Dad moved out of the house I grew up in, and we moved in, we just sort of inherited Rojo, the same way we got Bear! We did bring him with us when we moved to Southport though!

Rojo loves to kind of taunt the dogs, he knows that he is in his cage and he can mess with them a little. Although one day he got too close to the bottom of the cage and Saghani pulled out one of his tailfeathers. It was his own fault, he knows better than to do that. It has not happened since, so I guess he learned his lesson!

He is also a little bit of an early warning system for us, he is positioned at the back sliding door near the window and when my dad comes over Rojo starts squawking, which in turn lets the dogs know someone is coming, at which time they all go bark crazy! At least I would know if someone ever tried to break in right? Basically I have multiple security systems, an electronic one, and a wildlife one :thumbsup2

Wow! 4 dogs and bird!? What next a tortoise?(which would be awesome!)

Rojo is pretty cute! And thats hilarious that he taunts the dogs! Love it!

:jumping1: 8 Days To Go! :jumping1:

Super quick update about the movie of the night! I just finished watching tonight's movie for the countdown! I watched the extended version because I really love the song Human Again! Of course you can guess what movie it is now!!

Beauty and the Beast!

_MG_9712_zps58991b87.jpg

I'll be back tomorrow with one week remaining and our next countdown film!!

lol, I was wondering what the movie of the day was!! Never seen the extended edition, must try and fix that!

Hmmm...I know Lion King is coming up, but just in case I'm gonna guess...Emperor's New Groove?!

Just jumping into your PTR!!!! I love it!!! I am a big fan of details as well, but have been wary of putting it all out there...but not now!!!! You have inspired me!

I had turtles when I was younger if that counts...LOL!! They aren't our pets but the Sea Turtles around here lay their eggs on the beaches and we get to watch them hatch during the summer!

The only thing bad about the extended edition is where they put Human Again, it is way too close to Tale as Old As Time, well at least in my opinion anyway. It is like two songs back to back pretty much!

I WISH I had Emperor's New Groove...sadly it is not in my collection...YET!:confused3

It's not for everyone but I am glad you are enjoying it!!Our trip is super close! We only have one week to go now!! Thanks again for joining me! Luckily, you won't have long to wait for the actual Trip Report! :goodvibes

:banana::banana::banana::banana: 7 Days To Go!:banana::banana::banana::banana:

We are now at the one week mark!! Next Thursday we will be packed up, in the car, driving down to that Magical place we all know and love!

PTR News of the Day: First off I got 2 more cans of sunscreen while we were at Walmart this morning, (today was Jeremy's day off so he came home for the day)when we got back in the car we realized we have about $90 in Walmart gift cards! So that will come in handy when purchasing the remaining amount of sunscreen we need for the trip!

I got my Vanellope jewelry in the mail, which means that outfit is now complete and can be added to the suitcase! Jeremy's new phone came in the mail yesterday, so he got that all set up and ready to go! He also added the app DPart which gives bus schedules, My Disney Experience, because it is just awesome, as well as the Disboards app!!

It is a bit stormy outside at the moment, I am very happy about that though, my garden needs lots o' rain! I picked some Ronde De Nice Squash out of it and made stuffed squash for dinner tonight, it was really good! During dinner, we watched the movie of the day!!

We took our Halloween costumes last year from the Pixar short at the beginning of it! We love to play in it's world in Disney Infinity! I am seriously considering making myself an OK shirt....what movie could it be??

Monsters University!!

:banana::banana::banana: 6 Days To Go! :banana::banana::banana:

In just a few days we will be off on our 7th Anniversary trip to Walt Disney World! Today I added 2 more cans of sunscreen to the collection, I also had to buy a new can of hairspray. All of the clothing is now officially packed in the suitcase! Next I think I will pack up the shoes. I will save that for at least tomorrow night to give me something else to do!

After 4 short days, Jeremy will be on his way home from being out of town!! Finally a few months of time at home! I can't wait to spend so much time with him...:rotfl2: We may get sick of each other ;)

The movie I am watching for tonight's countdown...shockingly enough...I have never seen before. It is definitely considered a classic Disney movie, but for some reason I have just never gotten around to watching it! Well that my friends is about to change...TONIGHT! I have ridden the ride from this movie, I have seen the "Splash N' Soak Station" and even gotten a little soaked in it! We may or may not have ran through it last Halloween with our umbrellas up as well :thumbsup2 Another note, is the park opening number from Magic Kingdom's rope drop show is from this movie also! All you lurkers out there...please feel free to scold me for not having seen this yet! So without further ado, tonight's countdown movie is Dumbo!
