Grand Villa Question

Hi! We’re DVC members and we’ve never stayed in a grand villa and we want to go for it in 2024. We’ll be looking at mid to late October and we’re hoping for Animal Kingdom or Old Key West. In your experience is there ever any grand villa availability at those resorts at the 7 month mark? Thanks!

You'll have a decent chance of availability at 7 months at AKV or OKW in October, especially if your dates are a little flexible and you're not looking for a particularly lengthy stay. If you're looking for a specific whole week, I wouldn't count on it.

One thing that may be a complicating factor is refurbishments at both resorts. While nothing has been announced, based on the 7/14 schedule and prior work, AKV is due for a hard goods refurb in 2024ish and OKW is due for a soft goods in 2024/2025. Either of these would take inventory offline and make booking more difficult, if not unlikely.

I looked at availability at 7 months for OKW and it was fully booked. The GV at OKW are actually undervalued points-wise so they go quickly.

OKW is a little tough in the fall for GV’s at 7 months.

How about Boardwalk or Animal Kingdom? We could also swing those. Or maybe Saratoga if those are available.

Boardwalk is gone already for fall. AK you’ll probably have a good chance at a Savanna View I believe there are only 2 standard views and they go pretty quick. SSR will be probably available in both views.
