Grand Slam Club

I'll join the end of 2014.

April 2014 - Wonder
Oct 2014 - Magic
Oct 2014 - Fantasy
Nov 2014 Dream

I'll have completed all 4 ships in Oct 2014, but not a real Grand Slam (all 4 ships in 1 year) until I take the Dream Thanksgiving 2014.

Oh gosh I misunderstood, I guess I won't have a Grand Slam after all. I didn't realize it had to be in one year. Embarassing!

It doesn't have to be in one year.

We will be members after our November 9, 2013 fantasy cruise!:goodvibes

I will join on January 27. :) The Magic will be my final ship. Completed in less than two years.

And then September 2014 I will have completed two as I will have done the other three ships twice each by then.

We joined October 13th 2013 when we sailed on the Dream. Not a fan of shorter cruises but we were at the parks already so decided it would be perfect - and it was.

Excuse my lack of knowledge, I get the current ships, but I don't get the "Big Red Boat". Can you help, please?

:tinker: Poussière de fée!

The Big Red Boat was the original Disney cruise package. It was known for offering value cruises to the Bahamas, which could be combined with a Walt Disney World vacation. But the parent company got into financial trouble and went out of business in 2000.

The Big Red Boat catered to young, moderate-income couples and families. The goal was to offer a fun vacation at affordable costs. There were three- and four-day cruises from Port Canaveral and Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida. The comfortable ship had all the amenities.

Thanks! Now I understand better.

We cruised it on a land/sea package in the early 90s. It was from Premier Cruise Lines, had a long life, and was licensed for Disney cruises for about 7-8 years. With Disney characters on board, followed by a few days at Disney World, it was a success for Disney. When the Big Red Boat was no longer used for Disney cruises, it was because the next year Disney rolled out their own boats we still have today.

Grand Slam plus!!!

We completed our Grand Slam in October of last year - we'll actually have a "double Grand Slam" as of September 2014 (Magic 2012 and 2013, Dream 2011 and 2012, Fantasy 2012 and 2013, Wonder 2006 and 2014).

We'll finally join with our February 1, 2014, cruise on the Fantasy!

Grand Slam plus the Re-imagined Magic Nov 1013. Waiting for the Re-imagined Wonder....
