These numbers in AZ. Yikes!

The CDC dropped the ball on COVID-19. And I really only care about where I live or where I will travel to.
They've been testing in the 40-45k range the last 3 days. That was a one day high with two similar days around it. They’ve been testing 30,000 less than that the last fews days and the percent positive rate continues to go up.
How about adding the WHO as part of that list who dropped the ball?
So what do you suggest since a percentage of people are asymptomatic? The problem with this virus is there is no good way to find out what percentage of the population truly has it. Unless you test everyone. You want to keep this number at 5% or less to make sure you’re picking up most of the new cases. The fact that it’s so high tells me that FL testing isn’t picking up most of the new cases. I see the same here in AZ.
The problem with missing people is that they then go and continue spreading it. This is problematic.

I still don't understand that statement. You can only test people who want to be tested. Right? I'm not trying to argue, I'm just trying to understand. It truly doesn't make sense to me. For example: I am never going to subject myself to a PCR test unless I am symptomatic or I have been notified of an exposure.Test at least enough to bring the positivity rate down to 5%.

I agree on the fines for no masks.
I think Arizona has a few extenuating circumstances increasing numbers. I feel most horribly for the situation with the Navajo Nation. They already have enormous challenges besides the virus. We’re trying to catch up to FL.![]()
Bars and indoor dining seemed to be our downfall. I will be interested in seeing how it goes for you - and crossing my fingers it goes better!!!Our zoo is opening!! More restaurants, bars , no gyms Or malls yet.
our opening has been slow but that is the key I think.Bars and indoor dining seemed to be our downfall. I will be interested in seeing how it goes for you - and crossing my fingers it goes better!!!
Awaiting Newsom’s press conference where he will be rolling back more openings. I have no idea if it’ll be statewide or county by county and whether it’s just for the holiday weekend or longer term.

Test at least enough to bring the positivity rate down to 5%. Enforce social distancing and masks with fines at least a thousand dollars.
What does increased testing to bring down the positivity rate accomplish besides playing with the numbers to make a situation appear better? The numerator in the population still stays the same.

There is no evidence to suggest staying closed longer will prevent virus spikes. Based on what I see, infection rates will increase when states re-open, regardless of the time frame. If ya'll just stayed closed for another month and modeled that wearing masks isn't tied directly to your masculinity.....we probably wouldn't be in this position right now.
