If your party consists of eight or more you can do special events that are only geared to these groups. We were lucky enough to do all four of them last year. If you go to the Disney website and type in "Grand Gathering" it will list and describe all of the events.

We have a Grand Gathering set for June. I was wondering, are the only benefits these 'extra' events, that cost more? I'm not unhappy that we're doing the Magical Fireworks Voyage, but we're paying extra for it. Is the benefit because it's 'exclusive' to GG groups?

Is there a number to call that is more direct than the one that is something "MAGIC." I'm trying to find out information regarding what is available for a Sunday and Monday night in October. Do you think that they wouldn't know what would be offered on those 2 nights, if anything?

We did the International Dinner/Illuminations on a very cold night in December '04. It wasn't worth the effort it took to arrange the event, but this October GG attempt is for my DAunt and her daughter would like to have something special. I think she is leaning toward seeing Fireworks.

You need to call members services and tell them that you have 8 or more in your party and you want to be connected to Grand Gathering. These are special events only for parties of eight or more. We did them all last year. We really liked the Safari Celerbration dinner and Tony's breakfast. At the Safari Celerbration we had our own extended Safari ride with a guide after the park closed along with dinner. At Tony's we had a breakfast with a lot of Characters and there was interactive live entertainment with the characters. The kids could get up and dance with the characters and then we had private time with Mickey and only our family. They were all great activities. I liked Tony's the best so we are doing it again.

We are on property (Dolphin) have a Grand Gathering ID, and have even booked the Illuminations and Tony's events. What else is there about Grand Gatherings that I should know about? Is it just the four events (Illum, Tony's, Voyage, & Safari)? I feel like there is something I am missing....

Also, very tough to plan all into the schedule, especially since for our week Illum and Voyage are only available on the same night...

There are just the four Grand Gathering events. We had a great time at each one. Just make sure you know when to meet and where. You usually need to get there early to pre-register.

Do you have the days in which these events are scheduled? We are looking to do the Fireworks one and the Illuminations one the first week of October. Thank you.

They change the days of the week based upon the season. You need to call MS and ask them to connect you to Grand Gathering. They will need to issue you a grand gathering number and you will need to book as soon as possible since there is very limited avilability and they fill up fast.
