Grand Gatherings can book 180 days in advance???

I've been told several times that grand gatherings can still book 180 days out from their trip. Then when I called back later in the week I was told no. I called right back and was told yes again. WTH I don't know which CM is right. Is anyone else having a grand gathering and what were you told? I know grand gathering experiences are 180 days out but both times I was told all my reservations could be made that early to accommodate the large party size. Is that true?

I am also planning a grand gathering in September 19-26. They told me certain meals can be booked 180 days ahead, including chef mickey's,the grand gathering event (safari ride/dinner,epcot meal with fireworks, tony's breakfast). They also told me to keep checking back because the reservation policy may change before the 90 days. Have you heard anything about these special grand gathering experiences???

We are also planning a Grand Gathering in August -- our 180 days was a couple of weeks ago and I booked both the Epcot dinner and AK safari dinner. Seems like everything else is 90 days.

We just booked the Illuminations Dinner & Dessert Grand Gathering for August so it is definitely 180 days. When you plan a Magical Gathering, it takes a few days to get the Magical Gathering number & you need that before you can book any experiences. If you add anybody to the Magical Gathering, it takes 24-48 hours before they can book any experiences. We are planning one with at least 6 other families (I had to go through MS since my original reservation was through DVC) & let me tell you it has been a complete nightmare getting people added. Just a heads up for anybody that might be planning a large gathering. It's not easy!
