I was just playing around on WDW web site and found special events for GRAND GATHERINGS. As I understand it you must have 8 or more in your party. Does this mean all on one reservation?
We will have 8 for a few days but not for entire trip. Some of the options look like a lot of fun and this may be the only time we would be eligible .

Welcome to the DIS, wedindis'00. I'm glad you found us and can visit often.

Since I don't know the answer to your question I am going to bump this back to page one for you. I'm sure some of our veterans can advise you about this.

The only requirements I have read about are:

8 or more staying at a Walt Disney World Resort.

So my interpretation is that the days you are ALL on property together, then you are considered a Grand Gathering and those days you are eligible for the special events - which by the way, all have a per person cost.

Now, since this is VERY new, I urge you to call your travel agent (if you used one) or call 407 wdisney and ask to be transferred to Grand Gatherings personnel to help you plan out your stay.

Not only are the special events, but there is special itinerary planning services, help with tickets, floral and gift baskets, opportunities to pre-order 2004 merchandise, etc.

Your best bet at this early stage really is to CALL because this only started yesterday (october 6)
